I just wanted to point out that it is positive to talk about these things in life that we all struggle with at some point. Whether it's nightmares, depression, anxiety and so on. By talking about our problems we help ourselves and others out there with getting perspective on the sometimes bumpy road in life. All the best, be safe and keep up the good work with your awesome videos.❤❤❤👑🤟

I could not agree more mate. It is important to let others see that it is not only sunshine and rainbows. We all have some bumps and stuff to figure out every now and then. I do think this is something that is under communicated in todays videos. Everything is about happy happy happy. But you can be happy even if your life trows you a pile of shit every now and then 🔥

Another brilliant, very enjoyable video. Life does unfortunately challenge us all. Getting away on my motorbike, connecting again with nature and that amazing feeling that only a motorbike brings! Sleeping problems, it doesn’t take much! I’m a bit older than you! My wife snoring, moving around during the night! So, we start off together but she sleeps most of the night with our black lab dog., next room 👌👌Having no noise, absolutely spot on temperature and darkness . All these are absolutely crucial. What you eat and drink can effect your sleep too. I hope this improves for you. Being light hearted here! Try riding a GS for a few days. Best wishes 🏍🏍

Baring our souls is NOT an easy thing to do....especially to strangers??? OK maybe easier than to family. I FEEL that you found some ease during your time camping (in spite of the nightmares). It is my personal experience that being alone in nature with none of the usual responsibilities is a perfect way to clear my head. Thank you for the candidness and for the continuing beauty of your work. You are truly very talented my friend. EVERY DAY is the first day of your life and gives each and every one of us the opportunity to be different / other than we were yesterday. Ride safe and stay well! Cheers!

I am very impressed with your videography and storytelling. About having a good night's sleep while camping or at home, sharing my experience: I go to bed early, eat light, drink little or no alcohol (I like it but it disturbs my sleep), and drink few liquids after 6:00 p.m. If not, the nightmare starts: I spend the whole night with nightmares, especially if my nightmare involves water in any form (rain, waterfall, river, pool...). I have already understood that it is because I need to go to the bathroom or want to go to the bathroom. This physiological need induces nightmares related to water: drowning, floods, non-stop rain... and the most common one is looking for a bathroom to pee... it is a suffering, in the nightmare I can even find the place but there is always an obstacle, so I keep trying to solve it until I wake up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and then I have spent hours suffering... well, that is my experience.
@tshansen3 ай бұрын
Thank you sir. Appreciate that 🙌🏻 This is some really good tips. I can have dreams where I rush to the bathroom or similar like you describe if I drink a lot before sleep. One of the reasons why I have stopped drinking beer 😂 But ut is not nightmares, just dreams. I have struggled a lot with far worse and really intense scares. Mostly around me dying. But I think I have found a way out of it now. I'm much better (this video was shot in May) Thank you for this comment, Made me think

As always, great video! As for your nightmares and sleep, I have two suggestions: 1) Lay off the booze, as it really disrupts REM sleep. 2) You shoild look into a sleep assessment. Sleep apnea can be a deadly condition, and your brain being starved of oxygen could be affecting your dreams. If you do end up testing positively, it doesn't mean the end of your motocamping as there are tiny machines and smaller batteries readily available. I'm not a doctor, but getting terrible, repetitive nightmares is unlikely to be caused by sleeping too warm.
@tshansen3 ай бұрын
Thank you sir. Appreciate it. I tried to lay of the booze for 6 months without any luck. I have been looking into sleep machines etc, but that is not the case either. I think it is just a lot of things that have come to the surface that I need to handle or work trough to get peace again. Cheers

Wonderful and inspiring as always. I want to share how I dealt with terrible nightmares as a child, I learnt to no dwell or even think about them as I woke up, but to get straight out of bed and start my day, this eventually worked for me very well. Many years later this helped me in learning to meditate and let go of things, the concept of letting thoughts pass like a cloud, not attempting to hold on to anything rings true. All the best to you😊

Technology always has pros and cons, Thomas. Regarding windmills: A little noise is better than sending "our" troops to defend "our" oil/gas in my humble opinion. I live in the city which is never quiet. But rather that than living next to a nuclear power station. High-class filmmaking, as usual. It's fun to ride with you, Günter/Nürnberg PS: Gonna clean up a Stegra trail on Thursday morning, the heat makes us get up early.

Wonderful Tjommi, a very honest captured in this video. Both how You feel and what you struggle with. We need to have a call on those nightmares. They always mean something, something that needs to dig into. Maybe something needs to be releaved from Your shoulders or just get vented. For sure there are "instagram versions" of a place and there are a reality, great to show that as well. I try to avoid these places, but sometimes You have to just accept a less great spot for the night, and that's fine too. You capture the landscapes and typical views very well as always. The ferrytale like gravel road network. Was that the TET or did You go Stegra planned routes before we met up? I could clearly see that you hydrates yourself in a familiar and proper way with cold drinks at the ending evening 😂🙌💪🤠🔥 Cheers my brother from another mother! See You ✊️✊️

It is easy to always look for the perfect spot to camp, while in reality sometimes you just need a place to sleep, it can be on a bench, under a tarp or just at the side of the road. Need to re learn the hobo style a bit. This was only Stegra. but I saw I was touching on some of the sweden TET and TST. Cheers Tjommi

beautiful video! annoying to hear about your nightmares. i have heard that it can be caused by alcohol. because of that you hardly get rem sleep. because you sleep lightly you automatically start dreaming. i am not a specialist but i try to think along. thank you very much for your video and look forward to the next one. cheers mate!

Thank you Nick. Yeah, I have read up on that as well. did try 6 month of sobriety without any luck, but knowing what I have learned the last couple of months point me in the direction of a much more small things that is tangled up in a little bit of mind games. This video was recorded back in May, I'm much better now. Thank you.

So glad to hear that mate. Always nice to have you guys with me on these trips. And that you can feel you are there with me. Oooh my channel has taken off like crazy in my opinion. I'm not here for fame and fortune, I'm here to share my passion and to have loyal fans that enjoy watching what I make 🙌🏻 So thank you for comments like this. They are truly appreciated and what motivates me the most. I have tried to cut both coffee and alkohol without having a measurable effect.

Beautiful Tommy 🙌 glad to have you back and to hear you're doing well. That piece of music you put in there stopped me in thought, actually felt a bit emotional to be honest 🙏 Where do your sourse the music mate? And how do your crowbar it in there without the dreaded 'copyright strike'? Great work as ever mate, we all appreciate you and your efforts showcasing your beautiful country. Much love.

Thank you so much mate. I can't begin to describe how much time I used to find that correct song that emphasised the feelings and emotions I had when recording that. So the music was intentional for people to stop and think. So glad I managed to capture that moment. I use several music sources, there is online services like Epidemic sound, Artlist and Audiio that you subscribe to and can use all their music without copyright claims. I spend a lot of money on this each year so I know that I can have a rich selection of music without the troubles with copyright claims. I have affiliate links for the services in the description of the videos if you consider any of them. (I'm actually making a video about this as we speak)

It is amazing how different camping is in different countries. It is also amazing how similar the questions are with the green movement, shoving ideas down our governments throats that don't make sense for the people that have to live with the results. You should see how much reflection comes off a solar farm and what it does to the vegetation under and around it. These things sadden me. Along with the thump of the windmills.
@tshansen3 ай бұрын
Yeah, that strikes me as well, when I see videos of remote countries, how camping is there. Always something to learn. And yes, this is a huge issue that will only lead to mistrust towards the government and polarisation. It really sad to see how they choose to flip the fingers towards us again and again.

I appreciate you taking the time Kim. Always nice to hear that my most loyal fans enjoy the work I do. It is always a little bit of trail and error, and you never quite know what or how the audience will react. Yeah. I try to feel out and tell more of a story with the footage. Find music that compliments and enhance the feeling or the message I try to send with the footage. Not sure if I'm doing it correctly, but we learn as we go. I will hold you to that. don't worry. One day I'm standing in your garden 😂🙌🏻

The weather seems to be working in your favor, what is the hammock like in the rain? Hello from northern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 😀
@tshansen3 ай бұрын
Yeah. strange enough, weather always seams to be on my side when I'm traveling. But it is also much harder to capture footage when it rains. Not all the gear is waterproof 😂 I find it just as easy, or even more easy to set up when it rains. You put up the tarp first, and work under the tarp and set up everything in the dry. I have a hammock video that shows this and how I can use it on the ground as well if there is no trees

Hi Thomas, once again compliment on the editing, great video. Good to hear you are getting some easy nights. By the way I hear that your traveling companion ‘Mr. J. Daniëls’ helps to remove the high pitch sound made by the windmills… 😅😊 I am somewhat familiair with Norway and Sweden and would love to see some form of route on a map or something, if not possible still a great video. Keep in up! P.s: is a hammock really advised or is camping with a tent still easily possible?
@tshansen3 ай бұрын
Jack can be used for so many things (so I've heard) Glad you enjoyed this video mate. This trip was a little bit all over the place, and me editing insane amount of footage into a smaller video. So little hard to have a good GPX file, but I might make one for the final long video edit when all the episodes are done and stitched together. Will look into that. You are fine with both, tent is still easy and good, but I prefer to sleep of the ground (Sweden) and there is so many trees it is much easier to find a good place to hang the hammock compared to pitching the tent when wild camping.

What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. No time to stand beneath the boughs And stare as long as sheep or cows. No time to see, when woods we pass, Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. No time to see, in broad daylight, Streams full of stars, like skies at night. No time to turn at Beauty's glance, And watch her feet, how they can dance. No time to wait till her mouth can Enrich that smile her eyes began.
