Welcome to the Norwegian Joy, our very first NCL cruise! We are on a 12 night Caribbean sailing visiting Limón Costa Rica, Colon Panama, Cartagena Colombia, Oranjestad Aruba, Willemstad Curaçao, and Great Stirrup Cay (Norwegian’s private island)! This will mark as our longest sailing, so we are very excited to enjoy this new itinerary, as well as have plenty of time to see what NCL is all about!
Today we would like to give you a complete tour of the Norwegian Joy! We go deck by deck to show you everything this vessel includes and some navigational direction on how to transverse the ship!

Great video. I love that you did it deck by deck. That really helps someone understand the layout. Was hoping to see a shuffleboard game setup on one of the outer deck areas, but I did not see one. But I’m glad they do have ping pong tables. We have cruised on NCL for at-least 10 years and have been on about 7 of their ships. We are going on the Joy Nov 2023. Can’t wait. Looks a lot like the Encore. Your ship tour was just what I was looking for.

Be on the deck at 7am if you want chairs. Leave a towel or something else on said chairs or someone will take them. We actually had someone move our stuff off one of our chairs so they can take it. Pools are too small, hot tubs are always packed with kids, everything was really unorganized. Save your money and go somewhere else👍

We regularly cruise NCL as Haven guest and we had a NYC to Bermuda booked and paid for on the Encore when the Covid 19 cancelled our trip When NCL resumed cruising the Encore was replaced by the Joy. I wasnt happy but stuck nonrefundable. I knew the Joy was made for the Far East market and it was a disaster for NCL. Of the 5 Breakaway Class ships of NCL ww have traveled on the Joy is the worst. Avoid the Joy if possible.

This was my least favorite ship. Sooooo crowded. Also worst Casino ever lol. So much wasted space. The bar is wayyyy to small, and they allow kids at the booth in the bars so if you think you are going to have a cocktail and play video poker at 130 am without screaming kids, guess again! On the plus side, we played less than usual lol, lost less than we normally do. Forget trying to get into any of the comedy, or small music venues like the Cavern if you are not a haven guest. The venues hold less than 100 people, and there were over 4200 guests onboard. Im glad it was only a 7 day cruise. (VA, and Bermuda) the only good things were the outdoor dining areas and the crew! Footloose was terrible, lol. Im glad we opted to sit at the top in the back so that when we left 1/2 way through, nobody was disturbed. Even the club balcony cabin had shrunk and did not have a bathtub like the Jewel Class. The ship just wasnt our type. Cagneys, Teppanyaki were great lije usual and Q was yummy. Seafood location was not impressive at all. However, there is no such thing as a bad cruise. This ship wasnt for us. The brewhouse was awesome. It was surprisingly quiet. We did not play laser tag, play the VR games, drive the race track, or do the waterslides. We might try Viva, but more than likely we will stick to the Jewel Class ships. They are older and smaller but, more our speed. Also only hold 2000 k people lol

I just got back from a 7 night cruise on Joy. Worst cruise ever. Too big, too crowded, worst food I have ever had to suffer thru for a week - lost 7 pounds. Ridiculous to have to make reservations for shows. How do I know the day I get on the ship waht I want to do a week later. Ridiculous. Food had no flavor - even the Speciality restaurants. Terrible, terrible terrible all around.
