I recommend you visit North Devon. I went on holiday to that area this gone summer (despite all of the Covid stuff that's going on in the world at the moment) and there's a lot of good things to see there including the Exmoor National Park, Clovelly Village and Hartland Abbey, where in fact many film/TV stuff has been shot there, including an episode of Antiques Roadshow that aired back in early 2012

When I lived in Israel, 1983-85, there was a shop in the town near my village that sold imported chocolate and other candy. They carried Kvikk Lunsj, which I tried ‘cuz they looked just like Kit Kat. Better chocolate, though, than the Kit Kat bars we have in the US! ☺️ Hope you were able to spend some quality time with your family!
