A commentary from a Norwegian book about Norway's FSK special forces:Comment by US Admiral Bob Harward: " I commanded the Combined Joint Special Operations Force (CJSOTF) K-BAR in Afghhanistan from October 2001 to July 2002. TF K-BAR was composed of forces from Denmark, Germany, Norway, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA and performed more than 65 seperate missions, many at altitudes exeeding 10000 feet".**" I can attest to the fact that Norwegian special operators were absolutely critical to the success of our operations. They came to the fight with specialized skill sets for operating in mountain and arctic climates that enabled the survival and effectiveness of the entire coalition of special operators. Just as important, was the planning and staff experiencethe Norwegian SOF proved to operational expertise of the entire Task force effort. As a direct result of their partnership, our unit was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation, the highest honor the United States bestows on a millitary unit for wich President Bush personally delivered the award "**Robert HarwardVADM USNAVY (SEAL), Deputy Commander USCENTCOMMc Dill AFB, Tampa Florida, USA

Great video! A lot of the clips in the beginning is of the paratrooper squad(fallskjermjegere) consisting of conscripts in their first year as soldiers. While they are undoubtedly under FSK, they are not a part of the professional SOF, hence their faces are not covered. I really enjoyed the video! Keep it up :)

I liked the start with some backstory and the good music choice. KJK isn't a SOF but the clips fitted very good in. i'm curious to know where you found those clips of the KJK.

+Sgt Ultra Some of the KJK clips are from forsvaret.no and KJK's instagram.

+STALIN'S BEST FRIEND! No, it's actually not. It even says on the official page of the Norwegian armed forces.

+Sgt Ultra to say KJK isnt an special force is like saying U.S Marines or Royal Marines are not an "Special force" i in one way they are an SF but it is better to say that KJK and U.S Marines etc. are an Elite Fighting force
@WolfHowl-TheLab5 жыл бұрын
@@KokiaKola You simply cant compare the USMC to KJK. US Marines are tough, and they are good at what they do. However, KJK operates much like SF, and only consists of a couple hundred soldiers. USMC has tens of thousands. The Coastal Rangers use similar gear to Norways special forces and their selections are just as hard. Why they are not considered SF is beyond me. They arent considered SF, but they are considered "Special Operations Capable"

The Norwegian military is a joke. Sure their special forces are competent and combat proven, but anyone know that a country's military does not consist of special forces. Our standing army is at the point of not being able to slow down a hypotethical Russian invader until help can arrive. This is what happens when a country's politicians get more interested in international praise and want the big powers to ask them for international contributions. It's time to build up the regular forces before it's too late!

+Major Tom Norway alone isnt much, but our soldiers are one of the best in the world. Joined together with NATO we are definitely safe.

Sadly i agree with you Major Tom. The norwegian army is small and do not have any real "power", and is completely reliable on nato if shit hits the fan. On the bright side, the norwegian army is a modern, highly trained and well equipped.

***** yes but everybody knows that you need quantity of boots on the ground to make a difference. Norway does not have that anymore. Even the Spartans had to succumb to the Persian hordes and Norwegian conscription troops isn't even remotely close to being at the level of Spartans. It seems like some people wants to beat their chests and scream loud about how awesome their country is, but reality doesn't care about patriotism. Reality care about quality and quantity. Having good special forces and 450 troops form Telemarksbataljonen means nothing to the Russian horde if they were to invade. The rest consist of National Guard soldiers and a few thousand conscripts. Norwegian armed forces is close to a joke these days.

Major Tom I agree on most, but not that the norwegian troops are bad. They are the ebst in the world. Its proven. Not even up to discussion. Youre right about them not standing a change against pretty much any miliary force, but thats because of a huge lack of soldiers compared to most countries.
