It's time for some transatlantic cruising excitement! Join us for eleven days onboard Norwegian Viva out of Lisbon, Portugal as we cross the Atlantic Ocean. We've got stops in Ponta Delgada (Azores), Havensight (St. Thomas), and Taino Bay (Puerto Plata) before finally arriving in Miami, Florida. We sailed from November 16-27, 2023 on this cruise, which also gave us the chance to celebrate U.S. Thanksgiving Day onboard... let's do this thing!! :D

I enjoy your videos. A few videos back you walked by the ship model and said "drone footage". Made me LOL. Perhaps this could be a regular feature (such as sock-of-the-day). You could walk briefly around the ship model giving it a quick 360 and call it "drone footage". An easy way to show us an ariel view of the ship. Thanks!

The Local is a wonderful place for breakfast. On Prima I was up early every morning (Norway, Iceland itinerary). No need to wait for the buffet or the main dining room. The Local was like eating a a diner every morning...loved it! 🙂 Thanks for your videos.

I caught most of the Rumors show on the Escape. I didn't really have any interest seeing it as I've seen Fleetwood Mac twice in concert and didn't really want to see a cover band. I wish I saw the whole thing cause it was really entertaining and informative. I liked how they included information of the song before playing it.

Oh dear, think I've had evidence how people's taste in music is so different lol not sure if it was the recording but I didn't like their tones or voices. I actually felt they murdered a few of the songs 😢, but never the less as long as they entertained you whilst on vacation that is the main thing ❤ thank you for taking the time to vlog once more 😊

Unfortunately, recording the room sound is always going to be hit-or-miss in terms of sound quality.

Yeeeeeah, it's difficult to capture accurate sound in an open setting like that, plus being there in the moment is always more fun than watching it back later, hah!! :P

Dee how many clothes did you bring since you don’t need to change for the evening. Im having anxiety just thinking about bringing too little n then not have enough. Can you help? You used to do OOTD n then I was not confused lol.

Funnily enough, Dee tends to change for the evening anyway, even if it's not required on Norwegian, ha ha... we've hoping to do some 7-day cruise packing videos soon, actually focusing on how we can travel in carry-on only for many trips... it should be interesting!! :P ~Jay

17 commercials in 27 minutes. We love you guys but that seems like a lot.

Sadly, we only get to choose how many ad "breaks" there are, not the actual number of ads that will be shown. My general rule of thumb is one "break" per every 6 to 7 minutes of content, meaning that three mid-video breaks were put in this video, plus the default pre-video break. Strange that KZbin would show 17 ads over 4 breaks... they usually max at 2 ads per break, meaning no more than 8 ads should have been served. If you really had 17 ads, that's not normal at all, yikes!! ~Jay

Thanks Jay. We thought it was odd too. When we pulled up the video it showed the commercial breaks on the bottom timeline. When we started counting we were floored. I’m sure its just typical Google (KZbin) shenanigans of them trying to get more revenue. Enjoy the adventure!

Oooooh, I thought I'd found the issue, which is something not working properly with the option to either automatically or manually insert breaks, and they popped a bunch of extra breaks in there without me knowing, but I haven't quite nailed it down yet. I tried messing with the setting and it deleted ALL my breaks, ha ha... oops! I'll figure this thang out and make it work right!! :P ~Jay

I had to make this comment. This duo, who I guess is David and Stephanie, is singing with David playing a guitar to a standing room only crowd right where two large semi circular couches are. Why in the world are they blocking those seats when people are obviously not happy having to stand? Two thumbs down on them and Norwegian for the lack of forethought on this new ship.

They had the same setup on Prima, which we'd agree is less than ideal. Those seats are available during the day when the area isn't being used for much of anything, but they're used to create a stage in the evening hours, removing a few seats during a time when the venue is more popular. We did notice sometimes that one of the benches would be moved away from the "stage" and placed against a nearby wall by the Haven elevators so that it could be used for seating during events, which was nice.

Not sure how the musicians are at fault? I don’t believe for a second that they have any say over how the space is set up, other than possibly their own instruments and equipment. The venue set up is on the cruise line.
