Norwex for professional cleaning, yes or no? Norwex has created an incredible line of cleaning supplies and products, touted by many. Is Norwex affordable enough to use for professional cleaning? And does the hype stop with homeowners?
Their microfiber cloths using BacLock technology justify the hype, and the cleaning paste is nothing short of a miracle. That said there's a pricing issue that halts many professionals in their tracks.

I LOVE Norwex. I am a distributor only for access. I don't host parties but am available for my friends if they choose to order. I also clean houses. I do use some of my Norwex rags. I have some for me personally and some I use to clean my clients houses. I agree there are some things you HAVE to use chemicals for but using the rags has cut out alot of chemicals. My clients have never said anything (they don't really care) but I think if I'm not exposed to so many different chemicals on a weekly basis it's probably a little healthier for me in the long run.

The silver in Norwex cloths have nothing to do with cleaning. It has to do with keeping soiled Norwex cloths from creating more bacteria. I use e-cloths which tests have shown remove the same amount of bacteria at half the cost. I'm not affiliated with that company just love their products.

FWIW I have that cleaning paste and the tub cost me $20 or $30. I use it weekly for the few things that need a powerhouse cleaner but the thing is, I still have the same tub I bought almost 6 years ago. It’s very concentrated and comes as a solid which you kind of run with a wet cloth and that becomes a paste. I explain all of this to say I feel like it is the most budget friendly scouting product I’ve ever tried and that comes from a mother of five kids in her mid forties 👍🏻

I'm a housekeeper for 11 years. I do not use Norwex anymore. Using Norwex cloths is unsanitary. Mainly because while the embedded silver disinfects a used damp cloth ONLY after hours/overnight sitting. Norwex cloths still transfer microbes during use. My earlier clients when I began in 2009 insisted I use their Norwex. They insisted that I use the same one rag on the sink, mirror, the countertop, the floor, the toilet, the shower, rinsing it out in the sink between these uses, and then taking that same cloth to clean the next bathroom, as well as wipe down everything in the kitchen, dust the rest of the household, mop the floors, etc. I felt this was unsanitary. I finally went to a Norwex party and asked that question and was told the cloth does transfers germs after rinsing between uses untill it sits overnight. So Norwex recommended one cloth is dedicated for strictly toilet use, another cloth dedicated for kitchen, another cloth for bathroom counter, etc. to prevent unsanitary transfer. Plus time-wise I found constantly rinsing three cloths per home repeatedly was inefficient use of time. it's much easier to grab a clean new microfiber each time the previous microfiber has been used on all 8 sides. I now purchase bulk microfiber cloths and use a clean cloth for each new surface, using dozens of microfibers per home, saving hours per home, & washing & disinfecting the cloths in one washer load immediately after cleaning the entire home for the day.

I haven't seen Norwex claim that the cloths kill bacteria on surfaces, the microsilver in the fibers keeps bacteria, molds, mildews from growing in the cloth. (Stinky dish towel that smells like something died in the kitchen no more.) As a nurse, I have already seen the benefit of silver and slowing down microbes in my daily work. We use silver impregnanted dressings on complex wounds so the exudate I'd absorbed from the wound and isn't allowed to grow inside of the dressing, allowing for the wound to heal quicker. Additionally, there are many more products other than just the Envirocloth in case more elbow grease is needed. She is right about the cleaning paste being an amazing powerhouse! Regarding the statement of chemicals in an oven. I can attest that I used my oven, that I hadn't deep cleaned in 10 years because I was afraid of the self cleaning mode, to debunk Norwex products. I had to use them and see that they really worked hard and my oven is sparkling. I did use several different products but it was worth it to me to not use chemicals where I cook out food. I am a cancer survivor and also have asthma and have children with asthma, so going chemical free as much as possible was a lifestyle change that was important in our home. I did a lot of reading on the company before purchasing anything, and would encourage others to look at the difference in MLM and direct sales.

I literally just came.from a norwex party. I tested the enviro cloth by wiping butter off a window. Its phenomenal. Also tried the cleaning paste to take permanent marker off the table. Again, amazing. They have products to clean ovens too. I think their products will be better for our business than the Mr Siga cloths we already bought. Might use those for homes that want us to use scented cleaners.

Just like I've been approached to buy scentsy counter cleaner...no way...expensive and 2 clients I have, bought it and it leaves a film. I love to clean and learn of new things that can help us work smarter and not harder, as long as cost effective and does the job correctly. Thank you!

I am a Norwex consultant and found your video done well. I love my Norwex and I do use it in my cleaning business. I am new to doing house cleaning and am making adjustments all the time. Being a consultant for so many years I have a lot of Norwex cloths. I am always showing off the new products, demonstrating the newest products and so have accumulated many cloths over the years. I have also earned so much for free incentives. Therefore, I did not have to invest in any microfiber to start my cleaning business. With that said, I have to say my cloths also hold up very well and not having to replace them often will save me money over time. It is an investment up front, though, I do feel it is well worth it if you can afford it. I use chemical free cleaning as much as possible but completely agree I sometimes have to resort to more cost effective items when doing deep cleaning. However, the toxicity of other products is a factor I have to keep in mind with my health. There are other non-caustic, non-toxic products I use with my Norwex microfiber as well. I carry some cheap cleaning cloths to use when I need to clean something that I do not want to use the cloth again. I would suggest having the homeowner buy the Norwex cleaning consumables for themselves to use in their homes. I use my own microfiber so I can wash them daily. With the silver I feel I can adequately use them and they clean completely without concern of using them from one home to another. Microfiber picks up more gunk than other cloths, it holds onto gunk more than other types of cloth and therefore the silver is helpful in that respect with its self cleansing properties. If I supply the Norwex consumables, such as descaler, bathroom cleaner, etc., I let the client know I charge more. Then it is their choice.
@JoanMullerLyons
@JoanMullerLyons 3 жыл бұрын
I will add, I color code my cloths. Once used for a room it goes directly into the laundry. I usually have a full laundry load of my Norwex microfiber at the end of each day. I will use up to 20 cloths for a single house cleaning. This keeps my cloths from getting extremely full of grime, no build up within them and easier to maintain. I do not use any cloth for another home until it has been laundered. In fact, it usually does not leave a room for another room in the same house. I deep clean my cloths frequently. Maintenance of my cloths is a priority at my home and for my business.

If I was a house cleaner, I would recommend all clients make the initial investment for Norwex because it’s the best! Then I would use their cloths to clean their homes and not be fussed. However, just rinsing them in hot water releases a lot of the germs, and they do not cross contaminate in general. So it wouldn’t be so terrible to use the same cloths in other peoples’ homes. Though I trust and have confidence in high quality microfiber, I do use a separate cloth dedicated for toilets only.

I am not a distributor but was lucky to buy norwex cloths a bit cheaper. I have about 12 norwex cloths and I love them. I just love the way they feel when it cleans. You can use and abuse them and will last you a long time. I still use all purpose cleaners with them and hand wash them after each use. Machine wash once a week. The silverblock thing isnt gimmicky. Norwex cloths do take a lot longer to stink then a regular microfiber cloth. The next best thing down from norwex are Mr Siga mircofiber. A bit cheaper. They perform pretty well.

Interesting video. But I have to say your Mercedes vs. Honda analogy is not accurate. It’s more like Mercedes vs. Ford. 🤣🤣🤣

No. Just too expensive. I did it my first 2 years. You recommend polyte and I changed to them.

I have some Norwax cloths I use for my house. I do not bring them on my jobs cleaning houses. I had one of my customers introduce them to me. She loves them because they clean without chemicals. When I go to her house I will use her Norwax mop which I love and occasionally some of her cloths for windows, etc. I use my own rags for cleaning the kitchen, bathroom, dusting. The only thing I would caution is I don’t care what the claim is about the backlock silver technology . When it comes to disinfecting kitchen surfaces especially with COVID-19 I disinfect the surfaces with an all natural registered product I found Benefect Deacon 30. It has a 10 minute dwell time and is effective against coronavirus, norovirus, etc. As somebody who has asthma that can come and go it does not bother my asthma.I would not want anybody to just clean kitchen counters thinking that they’re disinfecting with a wet Norwax cloth but would urge people to make sure they use proper chemicals for certain surfaces depending if they’re sanitizing or disinfecting. Even my customer has been using Clorox wipes, etc. on high touch areas and kitchen surfaces. It is the first time I have ever seen her her do that. Be prepared and be safe. Thank you for bringing out this great video!

The microsilver is not what kills bacteria on a surface, the cloth itself mechanically picks it up. Have you ever seen the plethora of videos testing its ability to remove proteins from counters, or seeing if bacteria will grow in a petri dish after swabbing a surface cleaned with a norwex cloth? It is actually amazing. And just make sure when you're cleaning a surface that comes into contact with food, using a clorox wipe, that you are also going back over that surface with water. Disinfecting wipes give the disclaimer and instructions on the back that you should not leave the chemical residue on a surface that comes into contact with food! Absolutely not trying to be aggressive here, just wanted to let you know! :)

Do you understand how microfibers work in comparison to Clorox? If you did, you would know wipes are very ineffective and really just smear germs around and leave a residue that attracts more dust and grime. They are super wasteful and completely unnecessary. I would opt for microfiber and water any day over wipes. I recommend you view the raw chicken juice demo videos from Sonya Eckel to learn more. Or watch videos from Norwex channel or Dr. Annie’s experiments. Like the other commentor, I hope I’m not coming off as aggressive. It’s just been so life-changing for me (I especially love the mop!) that I wish everyone knew about the ease, efficiency and effectiveness of quality microfibers!

The professional cleaning company should encourage their clients to purchase a set of Norwex cloths & cleaning paste for their home - so each home or company you clean, you use their non-chemical cleaning cloths and products. I can’t imagine there are many clients who, if they experienced Norwex vs chemicals, wouldn’t purchase their own set for the cleaning company to use while they’re cleaning their home or business.

Many homeowners do have their own sets and use them between professional cleaning jobs. I agree with you, many people have not experienced the benefits of Norwex yet.
