Given this bird can out race practically anything in the sky (especially when diving after prey, in a full dive with a full wingspan open, from a 3 mile + altitude, they have been clocked at around 186mph, sometimes faster), this is a very special video. Many thanks to the Hawk and Owl Trust for sharing.

Peregrine Falcon is the most beautiful of all the birds of prey. These four young birds are the bright future for this endangered species. Thanks for this nice video.

I am an American falconer and It was interesting: to see they hunted at night or at least in the early evening, that they were so successful in such a windswept and unprotected nest site, that the invading female had some sort of band or cuff on her left leg. Great job. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for this video. Many important life lessons to be learnt from this short documentary. The role of the male and female and their parenting act is such an amazing lesson humans need to learn from these birds 💟💟💟

@Stellvia Hoenheim hey douchebag, learn to see things in a positive light too. I never said humans and animals are equal. I just saw some beautiful trait in these birds which can be learnt by humans who tend to leave their kids in the streets. Don't be a d.i.c.k😂

There is a window very close to the nest. The people running this open the window, get the chicks, measure and ring them. The nest is VERY hard to get to - at the top of the cathedral spire, behind locked doors.

They go around and prey on our pigeons!! These birds are nothing but killers!!! Our pigeons are well bred it takes years to get a good blood line together to call your own.. it’s takes selective breeding and our care we spend hundreds of pounds on our pigeons each year for these birds to come and kill them in front of us and there is F**k all we can do but stand and watch😡 a pair of these horrid birds took two of my pigeons tonight!!
@StevenSvN7

@@boro7059 Sorry to hear that. I have pigeons as well and I try to keep them locked up for longer than usual just to avoid the hawk attacks during nesting season. I haven't lost any birds to them yet and I hope I never do. But I understand your frustration.

I'm still puzzled why with almost all raptors that the male doesn't stay in or near the nest at night. They can't hunt and would be better off to provide security for the female and chicks.
@AemiliaJacobus
@AemiliaJacobus 5 жыл бұрын
austin1839 The male was probably close to the nest, we just couldn't see him all the time. Both male and female peregrines share in incubating, each taking turns when one wants to get food.
