Can you KZbinrs stop with the overly dramatic titles “MY BRUTALLY HONEST OPINION”. As if you’re talking about something extremely serious. I see the same title a lot. It’s like, “brutally honest“ as opposed to what? “My lukewarm honest opinion“. “My half honest opinion”. “Eh, here’s my opinion. I threw a couple lies in, here and there. Told a few fibs. Dd2 was great, but I have invested about 60 hrs more in rise of the Ronin. After about 3 hours I got really into rise. Platinumed both rise and dd2. In terms of longevity, rise of Ronin is better

This is Team Ninja so i am expecting easy to be like most other games normal mode, normal to be like most other games hard mode, and hard mode to be Ninja Gaiden in an open world game. There is a unlockable extra hard mode when you beat the game and that is where Team Ninja sends you an actual sword and you have to fight for your life literally😂

I think the difficulty comes from the incredibly inconsistent parrying and dodging, most of the time I have no idea when I should push the button, the visual cues are not 100% at indicating the inputs

Nioh has it beat by miles. Team Ninja went backwards , because open world, but they tried…. First one for them so 🤷🏻‍♂️ they need Nioh Combat and graphics, with all the add ons of this game like glider/grappling hook basically. Just make an open world Nioh 3 basically🤷🏻‍♂️

I wouldn't mind them keeping the human only aspect but definitely need niohs combat. It would be a bonus if they made a story I cared about

In regards to your difficulties with bosses, you don’t fight TN bosses by smashing buttons. You have to learn their patterns and master the fighting styles. It’s still difficult but much more satisfying after you win.

I tested all three to see the difficult scaling. Most of playthrough was on Dusk, followed by Twilight. But been in Midnight since hitting the endgame.

Always at least look at Team Ninjas releases as with the fall of Platinum they are my favorite dev team now. I think ill wait on this one though. Not a fan of open world games at all tbh unless its a sandbox type game experience. Best open world ive seen in a narrative type game is probably Elden Ring and I much preferred Demons and Dark Souls over that. This looks much more Ubisoft checklist stuff which I despise but maybe im wrong. Do more often than not like how Team Ninja does combat though so maybe I will pick it up on sale sometime. Ive got so many games I need to play atm so unless something amazing comes out im good for a few years.

It's those difficulty spikes that just piss me off. I don't mind difficult! I have bought and finished games that are sold as "difficult," It when you are going along smoothly, struggling here and there and then it suddenly spikes HARD, and you can get one-shot by some boss that appears. Even three minutes into a boss fight, a single miss means game over. Start from zero. That's just not fun. That's a miserable grind to play the same enemy over and over until you get it just perfect. No thanks.

Game was probably intended for PS4 and was stuck in development hell. This why graphics sometimes look last gen, and the uncoherent story and open world. Game does not have quality as other PS exclusives, and a lot of people are mixed on it. Knowing it's not a perfect game to settle your expectations before going in, will make your experience better. Game is good, but not great. Gonna get it on sale

I've been in the same boat. Im probably doing RotR 1st just because it feels like a safer bet. There's a few things in DD2 that worry me like: How theres no real questline or direction and no way to travel. I hope to play both, but like you said, if I get both, ill sorta half play each and never give them my full attention

Get this. Dragon's Dogma has more than enough blind support because lots of people are impressed merely by ambitious ideas instead of a PS5 game actually trying to be optimized for the PS5 (at very least we should be in the habit of rewarding the effort to put in a performance mode so the game can run in the vicinity of 60FPS while still being something that's already proven to be solid)

I actually enjoyed Wo Long a lot more. It's evident that Team Ninja can't make open world games. They don't put in enough variety. Wo Long and Nioh work because each level tries to at least be different, but when they make an open world like Ronin it's all the exact same formula over and over and over

I'm super disappointed how much the game falls after the first region. 0 innovation. 0 variety. Just the exact same formula in every way all over again. Same formulaic side quests, same cat collectibles, same outpost things and same priority targets. Once I realised, I just started focusing on the main quests. It was all seeming so great until I realised. I was actually convincing myself Team Ninja would make right what Ubisoft always get wrong when it comes to making a varied open world but I was wrong. This game soon gets more repetitive than most Ubisoft games. Wish they'd take time to make their games quality instead of quantity. Nioh 2 for now remains the gold standard of what Team Ninja are capable of.

Am i only one that thinks this is better than ghost of tsuhsima? The only thing that game has is better graphics/aesthetics. This game much more detailed, decisions can influence what happens in the game. A more in depth combat system and you actually bond with the NPCS and it matters in this game. 8 or 9 out of 10 game to me

I can't hear that crap, it's like this and that. Nioh had stealth if you wanted to play it that way, with assassination and sneaking up to enemies. Sekiro had a grappling hook, could you do all the thing you can do in rise of the ronin with it? And the grafiks, come on, I don't give a... as long it isn't totally crappy who cares. The game should be fun, good gameplay mechanics and not to much boring crap in open world( like assassin's creed). How long have we waited for such a game like this. Don't ruin it with wrong expectations. This is a team ninja open world game!!! And it's great

I came here after i spent more time in character creation than in game ... i said Nope after garbage tutorial . Bad attempt at a rip off of nioh or wo long dynasty with sekiro hook . I bypassed tutorial without changing character.. combat is so bad i just can't. I was wondering of sprint button after that tutorial appeared so pointless and then same goes for killing blow did it before the tutorial .. garbage graphics . In my opinion is the most disappointing game ever I had the chance to try !

Over 100 critics have reviewed ROtR and only slightly over 50 have reviewed DD2 (on Metacritic)....I'm willing to bet that a lot of the low scores received by critics, are from those who struggled with playing ROtR (and got frustrated so they trashed it)....I've pre-ordered it and definitely can't wait to play it!

​​​@@Sketch2805Studioshe is not wrong, infamous second son, the launch title of ps4 had way better lighting, walking and running animations, as well as higher particle detail as well. So if we see that way, it looks like something below ps4. Maybe simply due to the overall color grading but something is way off. If you see ghost of tsushima, none of the textures, water physics, snow physics are a standout in the game, but it's beauty is beyond explaination. Just due to good polish. Do you see how the horse runs in rotr??? Witcher 3 has better horse animations. And these thing even though not being major still affect the immersiveness of the game.
