Thanks for calling attention to the REAL culprit, no traction behind the ear! I have some silicone pieces that fit on the end of the glasses and help keep them from going forward. It makes me nuts. But sometimes the silicone pieces hurt my head, like too much tension. I also think it's a weight issue, the lenses are heavier so it's front-heavy and it's just physics and gravity. Thanks

I have titanium frame glasses of a "certain brand" I had them for many years now, the bend behind the ear is barely noticable, the curvature is definitely less than a forth of what you have there, and if I look at them from the top perspective the ear bands/rods are slightly rounded. And the nose pads... But if they did not slide down my nose all these years, why they should slide down now? Although I alredy replaced the nose pads once years ago, I noticed these newer nose pads were suddenly placed at a weird angle, If I look at the glasses from a side view, the nose pads are egg-shaped facing down, so they were turned with their bottom facing the front of the glasses, while their top was facing the back side of the glasses, if that makes sense to you. basically, They were positioned diagonally from a side view perspective. I might had sit or lay on them and have them deformed probably at one point... the nose pads holders are not titanium ofc, because you can adjust their position and angle. I'm pretty sure that's not how the nose pads are supposed to be staying. I never tried this, but I positioned them in a way they are now more straight basically, with their central vertical axes paralel to the glasses front. They don't slide anymore, my skin is very oily as well and I though this was the only culprit for them sliding down... So for me the problem was not the bend behind the ear but exclusively the position of the nose pads. Also as a side note, I guess because of the erroneous position of the nose pads the inner top frame of my glasses was touching my (sweaty) eyebrows in the summer, getting stained heavily and constantly especially if I wore them when sleeping, sometimes I do fall asleep with the glasses on. In the way I fixed the nose pads position now, it's virtually impossible for the inner glass to touch my eybrows unless the glasses are pushed with force towards my face.

Great work! The nuance of overall frame fit means it's not remotely unusual for something totally unrelated can cause it as well. Even just the nose pad material can be the source on occasion. Moving the pads changes the balance point in the frame and absolutely affects staying power :) (it's just significantly a lower percentage fix) which is why I always recommend seeing a pro for adjustments :)

Hi. I have titanium frame, and Im having the same issue on glasses slipping but not too much. Just kinda annoying. Is your technique pushing the temples to make it a little bit tighter, correct? I am making sure I am making the correct thing.

kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2OqaKZpl6qdftE. This older video does a bit better job focusing on getting it correct behind the ears 🙂.

Thanks! Pushing the temple kinda does the trick though. It got a little bit tighter on the temple. Probaby might check with an optician instead 😅

@@juliusdulay4435 that's usually the best approach 😁😎 heck even knowing all of it sometimes I need someone else to adjust mine 🤣. There's always that one frame that just makes me wanna break things... 🤣

At which area should the legs be touching the sides of the head? On top of the ear, in front of the ear?
@ThatGlassesGuy03

From just behind the temples back ideally. (Forward of the ears)

Probably touching the sideburns?

That’s a safe estimate yes :)
