Nosferatu is… Straight out of the cinema reaction & thoughts | No Spoilers

I’m absolutely pumped for Nosferatu, as a big fan of everything Eggers puts out, it’s good to hear some positive feedback from you guys! Also a major detour for me this year and something I never expected to happen, but I’m back in with Physical Media. After searching for several movies and not being able to find them or the 4K Blu Ray version being superior to the iTunes counterpart (HDR, Resolution and Audio Track). I managed to snag 2 Panasonic UB450 for a very good price on eBay, for both of my setups and currently adding some movies to my HMV basket. Shame the Nosferatu Steelbook sold out for pre order, at least I managed to grab the Seven one 😂

@@servare2599 I’ve pre ordered the 4k for this. Keen to dive back and check out the extended cut. I tend to balance a line between physical pick us and digital. There are some movies that I just don’t feel I need to have on the shelf. As you say, some flicks do deserve to be looking the best they can with that physical disc though.

Difficult for me to get to the cinema but I desparately want to see this new *Nosferatu* when the 4K comes out; I'm absolutely *gutted* I didn't see the steelbook pre-order notification until it had sold out, seemingly within 14 hours or so... just hoping for a re-stock!

@@blujustin4175 yeah that steelbook seemed to disappear real quick. Hoping they stack out the disc with extras, really interested in if they do some behind the scenes looks into the making of this one.

@@PhillwithadoubleL ... and I think a lot of people are looking forward to what the (significantly longer) extended cut adds; or maybe, what they cut for the theatrical, which the ONLY person who didn't like it that I've heard about comments on poor pacing; I don't know if you agree!

@ pacing I was fine with. I suppose it depends what you’re expecting with it. The mood / atmosphere kept me engaged and I didn’t feel it really sagged to affect the pacing for me. I think maybe if you’re expecting ‘more’ in terms of horrific acts then it perhaps could seem a little slow but I was along for letting it unfold without other (forced) events for the sake of an impatient audience… if that makes senses 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@PhillwithadoubleL It makes perfect sense; the KZbin reviewer who wasn't a fan overall and gave that as one of her reasons did, with the same respect for her opinion as for anyone's personal thoughts, seem not to get much credence!

Are those VHS or Betamax tapes behind you? Never thought I'd see the day when those things would become retro. I'm getting old. 😂

@@josephb8268 VHS tapes behind me. Retro for the win. Ha. I kinda got swept away with attending some events for retro collectors so ended up with a handful back in the collection. There’s also sometimes some laserdiscs knocking around on the shelves when I change em out from time to time. HOARDER !!
