Nosferatu sucked so much ass. 1/3 of the move was the same fucking swivel shot in a dark room. Other 1/3 of the movie was Depp Jr. gyrating like an invalid. Last 1/3 was 0.5 second jump cuts to a spooky face with screaming noises jacked up to max volume. Movie made by idiots, for idiots.

The acting is AWFUL. Don't headbutt the camera for no reason is not an "advanced" skill. And the plot? OMG!... there is no plot. nothing happens for any reason whatsoever. It;s all a bunch of ''and then she woke up" strung together by vomit. Literally. No character can escape this movie without vomiting at the audience.

Me and my father walked into this movie so excited. By the half way point we were desperately trying to stifle our laughter to not get kicked out of the theater. Oh my lord I have never seen such a terrible pile of garbage with so much Hollywood polish on it. It's not even funny bad it was just the fact that we were so desperately trying to enjoy it waiting for it to get good and when we realized it never would the whole thing became a comedy. Can't tell if it was written by one person or one person with a room of yes men. So many terrible decisions, so much cringe, so much just terrible writing. My dad thought he was having a stroke because he couldn't understand what they were saying when I woke him up. What a terrible movie. Edit: That final shot of Nosferatu's withered body on top of the dead female lead sent us into full on belly laughter. How do you have the villain of your movie defeated by being too horny. What a joke.

Thank your lucky stars, you missed the friend character randomly performing necrophilia on his dead wife next to his dead kids. There is no reason for it at all in the movie. It's just random gratuitous necrophilia. He is fully human and never turns vampire and neither does she. There;s literally zero reason for this. Zero. And the entire plot falls apart in the last act. Apparently it's all HER fault bc she accidentally psychically connected to him as a child. Orlock is a pedophile. It's all her fault he's hunting them and in the end she just lets him kill her. Said psychic gifts btw are only useful in this way and never again get mentioned or used. Literally the most garbage movie ever made. Pure disgust-shock tactics used to fill in the lack of plot. She has to accept him ''willingly" bc otherwise he'll kill everyone she cares about...why? We don't know. It;s never explained, bc everyone else he can drain dry without any need for any type of contract........just pure garbage. Words cannot capture the level of trash of this "film".

I'm a fan of Eggers but this film really disappointed me. There was no room for interpretation with regards to its messages about the past and gender sexuality. It bashed you over the head with them, and yet the plot actually confuses and muddies its own message. By the end I was like 'wait...are they saying it was good she gave in and f!#ked Nosferatu ?' And the constant 'shut up mad woman' from every male character in almost every scene of dialogue was boring as anything.

It's way worse imo... i'm sorry but random gratuitous necrophilia? Like, you can tell that he just decided to go for the random shockingly disgusting crap in the 3rd act, bc he knew he didn't have a real movie. The beginning half reads like a normal vampire movie but the last half........OMG! It totally goes off a cliff. The plot completely falls appart and he just fills in run time with random disgusting scenes. It's so obviously done on purpose too. I actually had time to feel sorry for the actors he hired for the beginning of the movie from those villages. What a piece of s. thing to do to those people. I hope he gets sued. I trully do. This jerk needs some type of karma for this. I have also never seen such a disturbing use of ''rats", vermin, plague imagery. Eggers just took a giant sh*t on top of the whole historical context of the movie and had the nerve to play up that context for the promos too. They're calling is anti-semitic, which is kind of is tbh..but I'd argue it's anti-people, bc there's no one jewish in the movie. It;s just that he copied and paster that type of imagery onto another group of people. This dude is a POS. He went out of his way to purposefully degrade ppl in this film. It's degrading to women, men, rats, the vampire genre, children, fatherhood, motherhood, history, jewish ppl, everything...even the pile of manure in the background probably feels degraded by it's role in this "movie". Normally I would overlook questionable animalistic stuff in this type of movie, but he totally broke genre. He went SO out of his way to make sure that the theme of this historical character is "vermin", that it's impossible to overlook. He sleeps with the plague rats, the rats are a literal extension of him and his will. It cannot be overlooked. He did it in such a way as the character of Orlock AND the main female character are described themselves as "sub-human" by the end of the movie. That is a specific creative direction HE decided to take. There is no single character in this movie that is not acting in a "sub-human" way. And that becomes a justification for why the "plague" hits them. I've never seen anyone abuse animal symbolism in a vampire movie in this way. I hate this movie and this director. I'm done. His character is that of a pos person. I trully feel bad for the foreign people he hired for their 5 minutes. They were absolutely taken advantage off and I know that it's going to feel like a gut punch when they actually see it. Never watching another one of his movies for the rest of his miserable life as a "director". 🤮🤮🤮🤮

I really didn't enjoy this movie. It had some very promising elements, but at the time the protagonist entered the castle all i could think of was a scene from "Shadow Of The Vampire" were they told the story of Murnau shooting the original Nosferatu. He hires a real vampire to play Count Orlock (Willem Dafoe ! 🤣). In one scene Orlock talks to two other cast members about the novel Dracula and that the sades part for him was when Harker cought Dracula cleaning his room. A former lord with power over millions ... now cleaning the room of his food. And then, in the movie Nosferatu, they've reached the room were Olock had prepared the dinner. I laughed my ass of. And the design of Orlock ... why, oh why did they have to go with the real Drakula design ? Including moustache and everything. He looks like Lobo (the biker from the DC comics) but not like Orlock SHOULD have looked. And the list goes on. I was very disappointed and i am an absolute fan of the original. Watching it about twice a year. Ps.: That Skarsgard ruined the IT movies ... Thank you ! I've started to think i am allone with my opinion. But it was also the script. Just one example: Beverly Marsh in the novel she was the only one who actively fought IT, because she was a crack with the slingshot they've used to shoot silverbullets with. She was the first one who actually hurt IT and almost killed IT in the house in the Neibolt Street ... and the movie turned her into a damsel in distress who got kidnapped by IT and had to be saved by the boys. 🤢🤮

There is nothing to say. It's THAT bad. It's a cacophony of disgusting scenes, vomit, spit, vomit-blood, gratuitous necrophilia, horse manure, and there's NO fight with the monster. There is no "climax" scene at all. It's a rat infested pile of garbage. All the "pretty scenary" scenes are in the trailer. The main female character almost runs into the camera at some point for absolutely no reason whatsoever. There's monologuing into the camera. He has no vampire teeth! But he does have literal worms. He actualy looks worse by the end of the movie than in the beginning for no reason whatsoever. He's a literal rotting corpse with psychic powers. There is no one to root for in the movie. All the characters are POS. Except the kids, I guess who are just props to be killed. It is a study in depravation without any link to any plot or genre. He is a demon, zombie, fangless vampire who needs no one's permissiong to drain them dry but the plot hinges on the main female character joining him of her own "free will", after he threatens to kill everyone if she doesn't. Thematically, it's a cacophony of garbage + plague rats. Just pure garbage. And it's super slow paced and boring too. They just walk from one house to another for the entire 2nd half of the movie. "Meet me at my house", "let's meet at his house", "let's go to he cemetary", "let's leave the cemetary and go back to my house to prepare", "why is the count not in his coffin"? "Wait he's porbably back at your house, let's go there now".... They all live 2 blocks away from eachother and every setting in the movie. ALL of them! Including the Count. Their 'breakthrough" for how to kill him is found in the book he gave his pet follower which was bookmarked to that exact page bc it just opens to the page on how ot kill him. The "ritual" for how to kill him happens to be the same as the ritual he's ALREADY trying to get his love interest to do. So they have to do literally NOTHING. He notices the sun rising, and just does not bother to go hide in the corner of the room. He stands there and stares at it like a moron and then dies. Why? WE DON"T KNOW! There is no explanation for any of the garbage logic, bc it's just there to get us from one stupid location to another and from one random gross scene to another. They walk > cut to scene of someone throwing up > they walk and talk > cut to scene of someone foaming at the mouth, etc. etc. for the entire later half of the movie. The main characters accomplish nothing. They just die. They cannot even be bothered to make stakes. Or grab a freaking cross! Nothing. They literally do nothing all movie long. You just watch them walk past the manure filled streets with rats and then with rats + dead bodies. I had time to count the piles of manure. That's how slow and stupid it is. It's just beyond words.

I went to see this to cheer myself after a brutal breakup and paid for it…😤 I should’ve known as Skarsgard has wasted my money before with his new interpretation of Pennywise, one of my favorite horror characters. I will never pay to see any film where he’s doing a new version of one of my favorite characters. I miss the days when film goers were rolling their eyes at remakes and demanding new material.

I liked Nosferatu but am glad someone is telling the truth that it wasn't great or a "masterpiece". I didn't find Nosferatu as good as Coppola's Bram Stoker's Dracula despite the obvious weakness of Keanu Reeves. Coppola's version has more going on, a backstory for prince Dracula, fights scenes, a chase to Dracula's castle and redemption arc for Dracula. Gary Oldman and his transformation from old Dracula oozing evil, to bat monster, werewolf, and handsome Voivode gentleman is the ultimate Dracula for me. Bill did fantastic as Orlok, I loved his look but despite what everyone is saying, he does not look like the painting of Vlad Dracul from encyclopedias, he looks like a Cossack (google Ukrainian boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk, Orlok looks just like him but with a mustache and dead). Unlike Oldman's Dracula I don't feel a connection between the historical fiction version of Vlad Dracula and Orlok it's as if they're two separate vampires from two different stories despite being from the same source (Nosferatu is the German version of Bram Stoker's Dracula). But, I guess most people are saying "he looks just like Vlad the Impaler" sure, pick up an encyclopedia Vlad the impaler didn't have a shaved head with the Cossack haircut, even going to Romania to visit his castle and museums, Romanians don't depict him like a Cossack and they should know what princes of their own history would have look like. The heavy breathing of Orlok was part of the script, so it wasn't some brilliant character development on Bill's part like everyone is saying, it was Egger's vision that he wrote into his script, a corpse struggling to breathe, good call on his part. My only complaint is that times you could tell Bill Skarsgard was trying too hard to make his voice deep, it's as if he used Egger's scripted heavy breathing and used it to propel the deep voice effect so much that at times his delivery sounded monotone. That monotone delivery kind of took me out of it sometimes and at one in point I chuckled a bit, thinking what's Bill doing? But overall I think he did great. I have to say Lily-Rose and Nicolas were a way better Mina and Jonathan than Ryder and Reeves were in Coppola's Dracula. On the plus side of Coppola's version is that it managed to tell a tale without the use of a prosthetic penis and the weird sexual climaxing during Dracula's feeding. The death scene with Ellen and the corpse Orlok dying together like Death and the Maiden (Egger's confirmed the painting as inspiration for the last scene) was meh for me, it was a little too much. Let Ellen keep her dignity, she defeated Orlok, a powerful ancient monster. She deserved better than to be shown dying nude with her bloody legs spread open and Orlock's member stuck inside of her with flowers placed around their bodies. That part was supposed to be powerful but it felt unnecessarily over the top, kitschy, and an ending worthy of a Twilight fanfic.

I agree this movie is way too slow. People were actually walking out the theater I was in. One of the women that walked out was dressed in costume…..let that sink in. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was a horrible casting decision. He was so bad in this movie. I don’t know what the casting directors were thinking. I swear he couldn’t pronounce the German word for Mrs. which is Frau (half this movie takes place in a German town by the way.) He kept saying “fur” instead of “Frau” and it was driving me crazy!!! Did they not have a native German speaker to tell him that he isn’t pronouncing the word correctly or was Aaron so bad in this movie that they didn’t even try to correct him?

The story was odd, and if I had known the original folk story maybe I would enjoy. However the scares were very predictable, and were almost non-existent. The camera turning was horrible; motion blur ruined a large amount of the story and wasn’t scary but was rather just a crime on my eyes every time they did the slow turn. And it just kept going, and the “3 night” thing felt thrown in later on for more time to develop other story bits. And finally there’s the sex scenes, dear lord. I was crying laughing in the theatre, and had to cover my mouth, because watching a burnt twig of a man get on top of a woman and just start fucking her, it was so out of left field. The biting is what really made it as funny as it was. And of course, he died for dat ass. Anyway, I got a good laugh, 4/10 for me.
