It was “Equip Sunglasses”for me…that and The Wonder Years “came out swinging”. Those were two modern pop-punk/post hardcore bands that got me back into the scene. I was still jamming new found glory, old TBS and Brand New, until I stumbled on these guys on a random Spotify playlist.

i still think it would sound better if it was in minor key/minor scale. The happy, upbeat major-sounding instrumentals don't match with the gruff, pained vocals and heavy lyrics...

This is the kind of song that helps by bringing things to the surface. I naturally repress a lot of problems I have with myself and go about life normally. But then I hear a song like this and realize I’ve been ignoring a lot of my issues without even realizing it and it forces me to face them and let me know to work on them.

I actually saw these guys a few days ago play live. I had no idea who they were and I just stayed in the back of the venue until they started playing. So scared that you don’t want me here In the corner of your living room Reading subtitles cause I can’t hear The show you put on for noise While you’re laughing in the kitchen Pouring drinks over ice And I am not the type To go out every night Cause I just need some time To know what’s wrong in my head Pulling out the pages that I wrote for you hoping you don’t think that I’m dependent Cause I know the truth Might be Too much I’m not enough. I’m always disappointed in the things I write Even when I speak it seems the words don’t ever come out right. Coping alone. Just bring me home. Heard it happened again Another friend said “marry me” While unknowingly sat unaware of the life he wanted I’m glad none of our parents stayed together I hate to be a bummer but I’m 3 more beers From calling a cab So I can sleep to shake this dread I won’t wake up Unless you ask if I am okay. Just bring me home. Just bring me home I don’t want to talk on the balcony Just wanna drink until I kill what’s gotten into me. Just bring me home Just bring me home. And I just need some time to know what’s wrong with my head.

I got in an argument with my girlfriend one time and I got in the car and drove down the road, just to give some space. I played this song and sat in the dark feeling sad and pathetic. It made me want to go home. It's actually really funny thinking about that memory now. I was super depressed at that time, and now Im not. It's crazy how you can be so low sometimes and feel so empty, but you keep living anyways and you end up forgetting how much you hurt before. Those memories ends up being somewhat funny to think about
