You know what's an underrated film that the actress Kellie Martin, who voiced Roxanne, was in? Joe Dante's Matinee, which also starred Omri Katz, who went on to star in Hocus Pocus during the same year. Also, no offense to Buffy fans, but when I watched Matinee, I almost mistook Kellie Martin for a young Sarah Michelle Gellar.

My headcanon for why the mom and daughter I never seen it’s because at some point Pete and his wife got a divorce. Most likely when PJ was in middle school. The daughter chose to stay with the mom and PJ wanted to go with them, but was most likely guilt tripped into staying with his dad. Also, you really start to appreciate that hot tub scene when you’re older. Pete says that his kid may not love him but at least he respects him. Goofy should’ve replied say: “No he’s afraid of you.”
