I love to see other people chuckin big V8 rear wheel drive cars around like I used too. Long wheelbase means nice control on loose surface. I also love the Volvos, Saabs and Opels.

"Big lumbering" Yank class was fantastic, I own one of those "Tuna" boats here in the UK among other MOPARS for 40 years, love that stuff, my second car I owned in 1980 was a red Opel Estate car like the one in the vid, it was £55 ! I sold it in an auction for £35 LOL, it was then used in a robbery 🤣, great times. thanks.
@fishywishyfishfisk10 ай бұрын
Sounds like a lovely car collection! 😄 Wild history that opel estate had haha! As a youngling it always amazes me how cheap these now desireable classics used to be haha, bought me an old rusty lada for around 200£ a few years ago and later found out these things are actually going for thousands in even worse condition than mine haha
@markholroyde941210 ай бұрын
@@fishywishyfishfisk Yup, its all down to the passage of time mate. I bought my '68 Roadrunner in 1984 here in the UK, I paid £1500 and sold my Soul to the devil to get it, its still here with me today and now its £50K to buy it, . My Import 1JZ Soarer was £1500 in 2004, up to £12k today already., Ive lost on some, made on others, its just a lottery, however, the price of stuff is dropping, its peaked for the time being, Im LMAO at all the Muppets who have paid £70/80/90K for a Cosworth Sierra or Escort recently, when my g/f bought a brand new Escort Cosworth in '95 it was £30K and was rotten behind the sill covers at 10 years old and 18k miles, terrible, slow things🤣 Im still a petrolhead today and have 9 cars and 5 bikes LOL....adult teenager🤣

This is so much better than the Woodward Avenue dream cruise in Detroit. We need this here! Forget turning the center of the city into a giant traffic jam. We can have some good ole fashioned drag races down Telegraph Rd. Spread the festivities out, hill climbs Up North! Who wants to get trapped standing room only with 300,000 people watching a 10 mile long traffic jam? That is when you can have a nostalgia hill climb instead!!! All kidding aside this is pretty damn cool
