Gonna say the Wolverine mcu figure might be MCU figure of the year. The articulation and texturing and identical likeness to Hugh...its all so good. Hes sitting right next to my NWH Tobey rn and they look amazing together

In defense of the lack of accessories with Wolverine, what else was he going to have? The only correct answer is Dogpool, btw. But I’m so tempted to modify this Wolverine into a sleeveless version. I only haven’t for two reasons. The first is I’m sure I’d mess it up because I don’t really customize my figures and the second is because I’m sure Hasbro will make a sleeveless version and release a Deadpool with Golden Guns.

I'm definitely in the boat of going for Marvel Legends if I'm not a bigger fan of the character. I had the Mafex Wolverine, but ended up trading it for the ML 97 Logan, same with Cyke. That said, still playing the waiting game just to see who provides a more "complete" package for these characters? Like you mentioned, everyone is using a look we don't see in the movie, and so far, only Hot Toys actually gets there, but the price is insane. I'm thinking maybe SHFiguarts will do a second release down the line that gets more screen-accurate, but they already look so good that I might eventually cave in for the ones coming up. Anyhow, it was good to see your take on these figures.

Wolverine's masked head is based on the official concept art illustrations for the movie production where he was depicted with less beard and just a serious mouth expression, the unmasked head definitely came way after they got Hugh Jackman's look defined

I think Deadpool should have come with the golden desert eagles because he uses those regular black desert eagles for only like 1 scene in the movie then they get chopped up by wolverine and thrown whereas we see the golden ones more often but I guess they are saving the golden Desert Eagles for a possible wave next year with a Nicepool figure, For now I will probably get the guns from the bootleg SHF deadpool version and paint them gold. Oh and these figures are based off concept art sent by Marvel to Hasbro last year hence why some of the designs are not so movie accurate because these figures were made during the movie’s filming so changes can be made and Wolverine being sleeveless in the movie in the 2nd half of the movie was probably one of the changes made because the initial design was probably to have him wear sleeves the whole film instead

As mentioned in the video, Marvel Legends' attempt is great but lacks the accessories and thus will eventually end up left on the shelf. I want to do the opposite of that and actively play with the figures I buy.

But did you know HK toybox also has the wolverine claws for Deadpool, the Wolverine Bone/skeleton weapon set, and the two gold pistols? I bit the bullet and put a preorder on all of them. lol. They also had a alternate Deadpool head with swappable eyeplates for a Marvel Legends but I wasn't sure if the red paint would match that of the Hasbro ML figure.

I kinda like This Marvel Legends Wolverine , The accessories is acceptable but I wish it has the same amounts as the Shf , My only complaint is his face has the same expression and the mispaint on the beard of the masked head , Wolverine should have a more angry expression for him , but I still like him , and I think it is more accurate than The Shf version , but the Deadpool one is just inaccurate and lack of accessories and his face just looks off ...

I had these and Colossus preordered but cancelled all but Deadpool. I just don’t need another Wolverine let alone one with no yelling/angry expression. Colossus looks great but he’s $40 and I already have a comic Colossus which is the look I’m more attached to. Absolutely NEEDED a Deadpool though. I sold off the Legacy Collection version for this one cuz of the Pinless legs but held onto the unicorn and extra hands that aren’t included with this fig. Gonna hit em with a Gold marker and spray the whole thing with a matte spray and call it a “Deluxe” version😹

But if im not collecting that line why would i pick up one figure that will not scale with the rest of the figures in my shelf? These figures are not cheap here in Portugal, so if you start one line it will be very costly to just stop and change to another and we usually dont get all the figures that arrive in one wave. I stopped collecting the Neca turtles line because we dont get most of the figures, we are still waiting for our resellers to have tokka and rahzar from the movie instead of paying 70 dollars in shipping from the neca store plus customs, the gargoyles line never arrived too, we cant get the Street Sharks from mattel and the biker mice are 54 dollars each and the bikes are 69.99 each. Think about it lol.

Deadpool is fine, I guess. But the only ok thing about Wolverine is his unmasked head. His upper legs are way to long, he has a weird droopy thing going with his left boot and that mouth and upper lip looks like an angry rodent or something 😅
