I am headed here in just a couple of weeks. I do have a tip for you when filming though. When you pan, try moving your camera slower. I learned a long time ago that a video is much more pleasant to watch and easier on the eyes if panning is slow. :)

Used to go there but was treated so rudely by the park service, it's not worth the money... we go to Lake Shasta it's mostly free and nobody approaches you.
