She has a point and its unfortunate that currently most nations are led by fear. Hence being so pre-occupied by defence and extremism. That being said I think they are shooting themselves in the foot by not detailing whether such groups will be closely monitored etc. Cutting back on military would be great as well, but only if everyone else did it too - and therein lies the problem

Uhhh, no... If you join a group, while knowing they commit crimes, you share guilt for those crimes as well. If you go live in the Islamic State, you're not just thinking, you're contributing to the problem through taxation and adding to IS's political leverage.

Well Natalie Bennett; It's our thinking that motivates us to do what we do, whether it be right or wrong.

It should be in balance. But if they preach to kill civilians or that their actions leads to hate against civilians then it should be a crime.

I don't see what's wrong with what she said. Joining or sympathizing with a terrorist group should be a freedom of speech issue. The Ku Klux Klan is the oldest terrorist organization in the United States, but they are still allowed to hold public rallies, and their members are not arrested unless they have commit a crime.
