I haven't tried Rezztek because they don't have a white colored version. However, Buttendz has a white version which is very similar and I tried it. I generally liked it, but I found that the puck would flip over when I stickhandled. I don't know if it's something I can adjust to, I haven't played enough with that stick. Again, these blade tape products are very expensive, so I don't think I would use it regularly. However, it is nice to have in your hockey bag for an emergency because it's a lot faster to put it on your blade at the rink. And I don't have access to my wax and heat gun at the rink, which is usually how I do my regular tape jobs.

I noticed that using a puck to smooth the tape over, you actually sand the puck down. I described to my buddies that it's essentially skateboard tape. Really grippy on the puck. Took a little bit to get used to, but also my previous TJ was like 3 strips in the middle. Make of it what you will

Very cool idea, definitely seems to make sense in terms of puck feel, something I should try just out of curiosity and see if I prefer it over tape. Great review buddy.

Thanks for the kind words! I definitely recommend people trying them out as I liked the feel of it, but it is too much money for me to justify on all of my sticks.

Yeah definitely, probably the one downside to the Rezztek tape. Other then that a great idea.

I have three skates on my rezztek, and I really like it I think. Each time, I've played an hour and a half. We play somewhat aggressive also, I and others pass pretty hard, and I took some pretty good one t's. It still looks basically brand new. I would tape my stick every time I played, so I'd use a roll probably 3-5 tape jobs? Rolls are getting pretty expensive now also. Like almost $5USD. Once I go through both pairs in the box, I'll do a cost determination. It wasn't a cost thing for me as to why I got this. I was getting really annoyed having to tape my stick every time I played, and tape would get ruined sometimes where it would cause drag on the ice. Tape is also heavy, and tape is ridged like the top of a castle tower(the bumps). This is completely flat. Also, tape soaks up and holds onto water. This does not. You just fling it right off. Tape is soft and has a deadening characteristic. I feel it inhibits a stick from providing full feedback from you into the puck by absorbing energy. With this, you can really tell you're getting everything out of your stick into the puck. I would compare it to skating without socks vs socks. Which is what i do. Plus is sounds a lot cooler when you hit the puck. Which is also why I feel you're getting more power efficiency and a better feel for the puck. It's a little different at first, but that goes away. I would definitely tell anyone to try this.

This idea is wayyyyyy too expensive to be practical. At almost $20 to "tape" your stick that's insane how expensive that is. A roll of tape is like $5 tops and you get what 10-15 tape jobs out out of the roll? Just too expensive.

10 tape jobs. You must run one strip down the bottom 😅 I get 3 1/2 maybe 4 tops and tape is fucked half way through a game so it's really not to bad. Get about 15 games minimum these rezzteks... guess to each there own

The Tacki Mac attack pads are way better imho. You should give those a try. These just look and feel like overpriced fine grain sandpaper.

@@HockeyReviews yeah. Bought them at my local Pure Hockey here in Utah. I honestly didn’t feel any difference but tried the Tacki Macs and noticed a difference right away. They do feel different and took me a couple of skates to get used to them.

And here lies with the fault of the internet. The only reason you know I got Rezztek for free is because I was up front about it and I make sure I disclose whenever a company sends me things. Which should give you an idea as to whether I can be unbiased. If you pay attention to what people say in their reviews. You'll notice both of us state this isn't a gimmick, although his isn't direct. He stated it screwed up his shot, which means that Rezztek is doing something, hence it isn't a gimmick. I also stated it took me a while to get used to it, while I didn't notice a benefit in my shot. I later say I won't keep buying these because I think they are too expensive and wish they were cheaper. I'm not sure how much more honest you can get than that. I also straight up say I can't recommend the goalie version and people should avoid it... Once again not sure how that isn't being honest.
