In this video, we start the journey south with a stop off at Hertford Camping & Caravan Club site. Nice site but just a quarter of a mile out the road was blocked and we had a stressful detour through the city centre. It wasn't that bad but the diversion was poorly signposted.

Hi guys, my family is originally from North London (Tottenham, Edmonton, Wood Green & Enfield) and 50 years ago the extended family used to meet up at the Hertford site. Back then it was a big open field and every afternoon we would get a ride around the field on a trailer pulled by a tractor that was used to collect the rubbish from the bins. My uncle also let us steer his automatic Austin 1100 around the field whilst sitting on his lap. Those were the days!

Hi Helen and Dave, not an expert on vacuum cleaners myself, so cannot comment any further there. I see Crows are still featuring in your reviews, saw a few last week at a Red Kite feeding site in mid Wales last week, they soon chickened out.. Hertford site looks nice, although we like Ashridge CAMC site as a stopover for our Southern travels, as Ashwell village is really nice and has quite a history to it, we stock up with supplies at the butcher’s there also, good quality fare to be had and a discount voucher is handed out at the site upon check in. Hope neither of you got seasick on the voyages😁, all the best, Mel and Lydia

Hi both, we had a blow out on the rear nearside car tyre on route home from the New Forest. Aside from the tyre it caused £2500 damage to our car bodywork. The reason I tell you this as we are dog lovers like you and the dog travels with us everywhere. We have the Caravan Club Mayday rescue cover. What we didn’t know (and this is the reason for my comment) is that Mayday will NOT let your dog travel in the cab of the recovery truck. It had to go in our car which was on the back of a low loader with the Caravan towed behind. It was a very hot day so we had the windows opened slightly. Can you imagine the noise , needless to say the dog was petrified and in a real state of shock when we got home, shaking and terrified. I thought you and subscribers with animals should know as it not made clear in the paper work or information.

This makes for a very interesting yet disturbing read. All dogs are different and although Bella is quiet and laid back we don’t think she would have been happy either. Same thing happened to us when we had a motorhome - we broke down in South Wales and had to be towed back to South Cheshire - our 3 dogs had to travel back in the motorhome on the back of the tow truck. 😔

Caravanvlogger had a very similar road closed issue recently at a C&C club site. Not sure about your bird, maybe a juvenile buzzard. I absolutely love our Teppanyaki it’s so easy to use and clean up afterwards. We were camping en masse and met up with all our friends for brunch last week, they were concerned because I hadn’t started ours but ten minutes later mushrooms, tomatoes eggs and bacon all done. Were your burgers Wagu beef? Aldi do them, they’re delicious.

Hi Dave,Helen,when you were doing the demonstration with the vacuum cleaner it looked like you were on a hard standing pitch ,then when you were cooking on the tepanyaki you were on a grass pitch and I hadn’t even had a ghost ship ?
