Hey friends! Welcome to our channel and to another of our caravan vlogs! In this video we seek camping heaven at Heaven Farm. Did we find it?
When choosing a site to stay at, we usually have a list of requirements or wishes, for example, an on site bar or cafe, good dog walking etc. Well, when we found Heaven Farm we could see that it ticked all of our boxes and some we hadn't even dared to list before, like an on site ice cream parlour!! The site offers so much and we wondered if we'd actually found camping heaven.
Well, in this video we'll take you along for the trip and answer that very question!

From the video, the pitch fees are IMHO Excessive for the what you get on the site, and pricing per person is uncommon. Price per unit is the norm, with extra adults at, say, a fiver a night, if above 2. The toilet facilities leave a little to be desired in my view and one shower for 10 units is just not adequate. Howeve, rthe peace and tranquility if the site and it's situation is idyllic to say the least. The walks look very picturesque and easy. As for the food, it looks very tastey and edible and the prices are not out if the ordinary, for locally grown and produced meals. Icecream is priceless. !! Another great video to show off the places you visit and your laid-back approach is a breath of fresh air. Keep them coming.

Fantastic video as always. Access for us would be an issue, as our van is 7.3m, therefore we always choose easy access. I must admit, as a family we love a full facility site, such as CMHC. Gotta say you do make caravanning so so appealing 😁 Great to see Dozer having a great time too 😁

Another great video guys - seems a tad expensive all round in my opinion. Loved the scampi taco idea (defo trying that; we have a compact air fryer in the van and its magic!) - would offer a tip to use an upturned Muffin / Yorkshire pudding tin to form the shape as you don't want a cold beer being heated up with warm tortilla wrap!!! . We have twin axle van and it would be my worst nightmare having to reverse blind side in the tight space you mentioned. Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing the next video.

Brilliant balanced review but from what we noticed , there’s a bit of neglect going on with the facilities! Very expensive compared with many nicer sites 😅! I hope you’re both well and Dozer is enjoying the June weather !❤

Hi Mac and Sarah Thanks for your review. I would expect far more for £44/ night. It seems the campsite is an afterthought and not the main business. If there were fully serviced pitches with hard standing then maybe it would be worth it. You should try New Lodge Farm which has great facility’s and has the relaxed feel at a reasonable price. Hi Mac and Sarah, great to see you guys and once again a brilliant and informative video. I love your style, it’s so professional and well edited giving us a well documented overall view of the site. Personally for us, once we get our campervan, I don’t think we would stay there given the costs and facilities, you have stayed at better and more competitively priced sights and would choose those. I agree with Sarah in that it seems a campsite of two halves albeit with stunning views and not forgetting the gelato stall, but the facilities either need upgrading or the price needs to come down. We stayed they a few years ago on the old CL on the left as you turn past the shop. Querky it sure was and eventful, to many to mention 😂, that's further to go to empty the loo than we had, it sure could do with somewhere down by the loos there. Stay safe and happy travels

I thought that it was too expensive the showers and toilets are not up to standerd. The Cafe and ice Cream parlour were rather expensive. The site and walks look beautiful but having no bins is a no no as Harry out Labrador can fill a bin himself over a few days. The video you made though was first class well done. Hi guys! Excellent and fair review. I agree prices appear a bit high and paying £5 for a 1.5 mile nature trail as a day visitor is taking the Mick a bit given you can see bluebells, ponds and wildlife for free if you go for a walk in most woods. ( certainly close to me in the Chilterns anyway) I think £20 a night for two adults would a be a fair figure for the facilities offered. It seems the adults only field maybe a bit of an afterthought and based on your review unless significant investment is made by the owners it’s unlikely we will be visiting with our twin axle anytime soon. Yes, you had a nice weekend but add up the cost and..not great for value for money. May I suggest you try Higher Well Farm caravan park in Stoke Gabriel if you haven't already. Me and my other half stayed there a few years ago and it was great. The owners are very welcoming and we had plenty of room on our pitch. The facilities were always clean and they had plenty of toilets, wash cubicles and showers, they even have a few family rooms that have a bath, shower, sink and toilet. The pretty Stoke Gabriel village is only a short 20 minute walk from the site which has a couple of pubs and a handful of small shops. We're going back there in July and I can't wait.

Really enjoyed the vlog the site looks good , but far too expensive, especially for the poor facilities,, it will be nearly impossible to have a shower in the height of the season. Definitely need better signs at the entrance especially when it’s the weekend and busy .

Hey, great vlog. I feel bit mixed about the site. Love the cafe, location etc but felt a bit pricey for the camping facilities. Plus grass pitches are no good for us when wet because of our 2 standard poodles 😂. Good to see Dozer enjoying himself. I couldn't see but was the cafe dog friendly? Hi Sarah Mac we the trailer tent group of camping and caravanning club used to go camping there, every August B H down by the lake, looking at your video which is great, it has changed a bit since i last went there. It is interesting to hear you say where the CDP is, we used to use a hatch behind to pond, do they still have fishing in the lake at the bottom of the ramp. How much are the pitch fees P.U.N. It was great to see the place again and you have done a fantastic job, for showing and explaining it all keep up the good wark paul skinner

I would agree that it is a beautiful site and location but I would say the adult only section was an after thought. We only use our on board facilities anyway regardless how good the amenities are so that toilet/shower block wouldn’t matter to us. But the lack of waste disposal would. The cost for you get on the main site is probably fair by today’s standards but for the adult section is outrageous.

@@TheHelen06 we found that the perfect way to start off and get a feel for it, decide if you like it etc. Also to get used to towing with a slightly smaller van. 🙂 There must be lots of lovely place to visit in Yorkshire! We'd love to get up that way but it's too long a drive for Dozer these days

We wouldn't pay that much, not there. Back of Beyond much better value. Definitely wouldn't book. The ice cream looks nice but again food etc expensive. 😢.

Hi Mac & Sarah, Think you were trying to be too kind regarding this site. From what I’ve seen and you’ve alluded to, it seems rather expensive and very poor on the services side. Not to have anywhere for rubbish is just not on I’m afraid, especially if, as you, and many caravanners have dogs with you. Think the owners new to seriously “ up their game” on this site. Keep on vlogging 👍

Think you guys were ripped off, but the food looked delicious but that sure was an expensive weekend for a farm field, the actual caravan facilities were terrible for the money, however we did enjoy the video especially knowing it was your bank balance that was being dipped, bye now.

Hey Robert, thanks for watching. You're right, our bank balance did get dipped lol, but we still had a nice time. The food was good but of course you pay for that, the camping was over priced for sure
