As a certified welder. I’ve heard you mention that you use Argon 100%, when wire welding. Try 75/25. 75% Ar, 25% Co2. It will give you better penetration and a flatter weld. Just a suggestion. Not trying to tell you what to do by any means. Thanks for the videos, I look forward to them all. Hope all are well and safe.

Lookin at all them hopper grassers drug out some wonderful memories. Memories bout 65 or more years old. Memories of grabbin and stuffin those buggers in a mason jar and takin em out to a pond and tempting a bunch of fish with them. Trade those dang tobacco spitting bugs for fish fillets!! All summer. Good ole days!! Don't remember the sun burns!! The drone shots are superb!! Brought memories of my school books explaining contour plowing!! Our area was so flat it was not that much of a change. Looked pretty neat on your video. I really enjoyed it. I was pretty sure that oil leak was NOT a error by the welder!! LOL Thanks guys, another wonderful video that I enjoyed a heck of a lot. Stay safe, guard those eyes (and your butts). Blessings on you ALL!!

Cole, there is a reason why we set in the pew on Sunday. Farmers know that the weather and much of what we deal with every day is at the hand of God. I'm sure you know this because I am reminded every time I watch a calf or foal being born, the only description is miracle. The more I see the more I believe.

Thanks for another great video. It was interesting and enjoyable. Getting some more hay cut. Yeah. Looks pretty good. Nice and thick. Good call to let it grow some more. That virgin grass area is tough to cut. Lots of turns and holes and obstacles to watch out for. Beautiful area through. Neat having the deer stand there. Sorry to hear about your eye Cole. Glad you got it looked at and got that piece of rust out of there. Nice eye dr to do a Sunday. About it I guess. Thanks for the drone footage. It was interesting watching the cutter do that virgin grass area. Lots of turns. Thanks for everything Cole. The Iowa Farm Boy.

I once had a cast iron chip fly out of a machine, and it went behind my safety glasses, bounced off the inside and into my eye, where it embedded. When I couldn't stand it anymore, I went to the ER and the doctor said I had rust from the chip in my eye. I could not believe it. From that time forward I wore goggles. A pain in the ass, but I don't give AF. I value my vision too much. Then I found some glasses that have a foam gasket all the way around each eye piece. It forms a seal that nothing can get thru. Little less clunky than the ol' goggles.

Great video Cole. My last to Rhodesian Ridgebacks died of cancer that originated in the spleen.. Vet is convinced that weed killer in lawn fertilizer can be a factor. Cole, do you have any birdhouses on your fence rows on your farm? What eats grasshoppers and flies? In a drought year noting is wasted, grass clippings, road ditches and how about a cover crop where you've stored your hay over Winter.

You are so lucky your eye injury was minor, from the way you made it sound, but so glad you're putting it out so ALL can benefit from your advice in a face shield. I loved where you were cutting the weeds and grass around the house and farm, nothing like a good-looking place to live and work. We had a real dry winter and early spring here in South Jersey, but the recent rains have spiced things up. My neighbor has already made his third alfalfa-cut across the road from me and likely will make a fourth-cut this fall. Usually your lucky to be three cuttings and the grasses go dormant in the August heat. This year the grasses are thick and green....but the corn is already starting to turn yellow. That's early...

On that new holland mower you can replace that module that’s leaking. Every cutter bar module is meant to be replaced. There is spacers inbetween. Just need to unbolt and slide the cutter bar down. An end one is easy, a middle one takes a little work. I wanna say the last brand new one i got was $800. Reman was $600. Just need to tell them what model and if it’s a left or right turtle. Least the cutterbar looks like the same one on have on my 13 ft mower

Seeing that buck run out reminded me that my hunting partner and I were drawn for a few deer tags in Alberta. We have Chronic Wasting Disease in some provinces in Canada. Last year we had to get rid of a whitetail buck after it was discovered that it tested positive. That is a pile of work to find out it was positive. It was cubed ready to make deer sausage. CWD apparently stops at the Canadian border. Go figure.
