Thankfully in my world travels I only had to spend a few minutes in the tourist areas. Outside tourist areas is actual culture of the country. Few, few ever get to experience it! Take care but enjoy!

I love where I live now(Maine) but in other places I've lived in the USA, those fruit trees would be bare with people picking them to sell the fruits! Those glass green houses at the side of te road would be busted up! I like how it seems people have respect for things there.

I am so glad you are enjoying the experience and feel confident enough to stretch your comfort zone to try and get the true experience of the local culture and cuisine, a lot of people don’t feel comfortable leaving tourist areas. Watching your family in its enjoyment of traveling for the first time to a foreign country brings me much joy and reminds me of when I first started my experiences in world travel. There is nothing like the feeling of arriving at a foreign country for the first time, so many feelings which is too much to list here but there is nothing like it. I always made a point to visit non tourist areas while traveling. It’s the best way to get the best food and a true sense of the area and culture. It’s also a way to get the best prices. If their are pictures of food on signs outside the restaurant that is likely a place you don’t want to eat…I was told this by someone who was a very experienced and prolific world traveler when I was young and just starting out with my adventures in world travel and it never steered me wrong.

Pick the oranges and eat them. They are very good for you and full of Vitamin C. You can also make orange juice to drink. Especially for Sati. And good for cooking uses. And the smell is so nice. The Lemon/Lime good for cooking, making lemonade and aid for colds as well. And smell soooo nice. If you scratch the lemon leaves you can smell the lemon oil in it. Haha Susie, "Liquid Sunshine"(Rain). Love seeing everything through your eyes and sharing with us all. Have a Blessed day!

Sati is so adorable, smart and so happy and a great little traveler! Everywhere you look you can see mountains. I love the smell after a rain and everything is green. I think those plants you asked about earlier on your walk are a type of bamboo or maybe young palm trees? I seen sunflowers growing in one of those greenhouses. I love sunflowers. Yes, those solar water tanks are interesting to see on all the roofs, would save on the power/electric bill. Thanks again for taking us along on your walk . Stay safe. 🤗❤️🙏

Another lovely visit with my favorite family! I love your walks! Sati is so cute! Really growing up! Learning how to use utensils to eat! They grow up so fast. I look forward to our next visit. Here in Northern California we are getting lots of snow! All of California is getting unusual snowfall. It is great because we have had many years of no rain and wildfires. A sad time for our beautiful state. So this snow is like a gift from heaven.
