NOT A VLOG VIDEO Daniel possible seizure events made August 31 2016

WARNING.....UPLOADED FOR SEIZURE STUDY August 2016. EPISODES ARE WORSENING. DANIEL HAS BEEN WAKING UP IN THE NIGHT AT LEAST TWICE PER NIGHT SCREAMING OUT AND DOING THE SAME TYPE OF BEHAVIOR. WE WILL BE FOLLOWING UP WITH NEUROLOGY AND LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON.
WHEN THE EPISODES STOP, HE NORMALIZES.
HE HAD SEVERAL BAD ONES THIS MORNING SO I MADE THIS VIDEO FOR THE DOCTORS TO REVIEW. THIS IS NOT A PART OF THE REGULAR VLOG!!!!
Daniel has a history of seizures. He is 18 years old and has a condition called Polymicrogyria

It almost seems like he is having trouble breathing but poor mom is alarming to how bad they are getting. Prayers said that they find out what is causing this. Poor Daniel he looks absolutely terrified

I feel so bad for Daniel and especially you. If he could communicate he might be able to tell you how he feels before one happens. I use to have seizures and I had a certain feeling but hard to describe just before a seizure occurred. I pray you get an answer soon. ~~~Sandy

Julie, I am sorry that your getting negative response fom some viewers. This video is the best way to get him help to figure out whats going on. Its good footage for the Doctors and his healthcare team. From watching other videos you have posted thought maybe could be frustration or anger. But watching this one. Haven't a clue! feel so sad for Daniel...I see in his eyes that he feels afraid but luckily he has his awesome family to help him feel safe...I hope his situation gets hammered out and he dont have anymore of these episodes! Julie you have such a sweet soothing voice and i hope it gives Daniel comfort. I think Daniel has the best smile ever!!! Yeah, that definitely looks like seizure activity. You definitely did a good job recording it for Daniel's neurology team. Hopefully they can get neurophysiology (I used to work in a neurophysiology department) to do an extended EEG to make sure they catch at least a couple of episodes. Poor Daniel! Hopefully they can get something sorted quickly for you all.

Janie had what I believe was a seizure 2 weeks ago, I believe it was a partial seizure. I called nuerology & they believe that it was just a nightmare, but I disagree. She woke up, walked to me & tried to dive underneath my legs. (She does walk, very unsteadily, but she walks.) I picked her up & she was acting scared, looking around like she was seeing stuff, putting her hands up to her ears like she was hearing stuff. She'd calm down & then start it again. I have seen night terrors from my oldest daughter & this was worse. Eventually she got calmed down, we decided she would sleep with us. Then she would fall asleep, look up shake her head like she was saying NO, then she'd wink her eyes. She'd look at me & say I am winking my eyes & I'd say Yes, you are & then I'd wink at her & she'd go back to sleep. Did this exact thing 2 more times. About an hour later I noticed that her rear would tighten & then release & she would move her legs around like she couldn't get comfortable. She did these exact same movements every 30 seconds for an hour. And then she settled down & slept fine the rest of the night, slept until 11am. The next morning her speech was slightly off, but came back to normal by the evening. I know how scary it is when you believe it is more than what it appears it could be. And even more so when the doctors disagree that it is more.

Julie, this was very hard to see. The fear in his eyes , when he was in bed. I wanted to cry. It reminded me of one time one of my sons had fever cramps.

Along with the seizures and panic attacks, I was noticing how his tongue was a dark color. Might not have been blue, however, being dark purple or such, thinking maybe he was panicking because he wasn't able to breath very well. So he acted out for help.

Julie, other than the side effects of baclofen, it does help (when I take it). I'm so phobic with medications. but I really need to be condistant with taking this pill! The doctors have been discussing pain pumps and the baclofen pump with me. Daniel is such a trooper he is an inspiration to me(you to)! If he can do it, then so can I.

I have epilepsy, and I have about 8, to 10 Grand Mal seizures per year. I would not want to live like this. Going through a seizure is the worst thing I have ever gone through in life. It's really evil to see people just stand around and get entertainment out of this. Do you think this poor person wants to live like this? There's no point in living. I speak from experience.

That looks stressful for him, try carrying a cold cloth and put it near his neck so it helps him breath/calm down.. Not sure if it'll help but it's worth a try

I recently started taking baclofen. I'm not crazy about it. It effects everyone in different ways. It gave me a scare one evening. It's totally a safe medication and has been out for a long while. Of course you already know that. Lol My friend and myself had similar experiences with taking it. Minor hallucinations.

I understand your concern. It's difficult seeing someone have a seizure, especially if you're not used to it. Julie put this video together so that Daniel's doctors can see what she's talking about. The team of doctors that Daniel sees will want to do tests & when they see this video, it will help them to know what to look for.
