I always took it as switching off a fan. A fan immediately doesn't stop even though the switch is off. It takes a bit of time to fully stop. Same as with us. Despite Shaytans getting locked up we still get distracted because of the effect of whispers we get from the rest of the year. So it takes a bit time to fully concentrate.

Its all good and well they are just whispers. But you can't see them which is the test. If someone we could see was whispering in our ears, the ability to ignore them is easier. Of course there are whispers from mankind too but it's easier to cut such people off

In my opinion, this entire Shayateen and Qareen system seems very unjust and unfair for us humans. They cause so much chaos, we can't see them, and are the cause for so many mental health disorders and possessions... Even when people put up protection - personal experience trumps what's in the traditions ❤

Well the Nafs is made from the fire of Jahannam and has its tendency to lead to sin. The devils just amplify this.

First of all if am not mistaken you’re referring to alrouh in which it was described in the Quran two times in chapter 17 verse 85 They are asking thee concerning the Spirit. Say: The Spirit is by command of my Lord, and of knowledge ye have been vouchsafed but little. Also chapter 15 verse 29 it says So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. And to conclude this, nafs is enjoined meaning body and soul while alrouh (soul) only is something that’s free so to claim nafs is from fire isn’t correct after all because human can’t withstand heat specially the heat of hell fire and the Quran proves this chapter 4 verse 56 it says Lo! Those who disbelieve Our revelations, We shall expose them to the Fire. As often as their skins are consumed We shall exchange them for fresh skins that they may taste the torment. Lo! Allah is ever Mighty, Wise. And Allah Knows Best

To clarify, all things are made of either light or smokeless flame, which the jinn are made up of, which is electricity in Dunya, so the content of the flames of Jahannam that represent its nature are reflected in the nature of desires that divert from the Balance that Allah aj speaks about, hence its makeup is from the Jahannam because it pulls to its origin. Of course this is from just reasonable postulation and don't take it as certainty.
