Its a lot of work ,but it must be so rewarding being able to start adding the small touches that look great and makes your boat one of a kind . All the little details you and janet are adding look fantastic and you both should be very proud of what you've accomplished . Years of back breaking work will soon pay off with years of enjoyment and enjoying life to its fullest. You guys are special to have a dream and work so hard to see that dream full filled. You deserve all the fun and enjoyment all your hardwork will give you for years to come. May the good lord bless you both with good health and happiness.

Come splash day, after a last flurry of modifications, the boat going into the water is a monohull paddle steamer with a casino deck! 🙂

It's gonna be the Ozarks casino in Jervis Bay.

Hope that texture does not hold the dirt on the exterior more than the smooth finish .

Smooth as normal gel coat, once polished is sealed and way better than non slip also not being walked on.I have had it on areas now for 12 months and clean the day it was rolled, can't say that for the smooth areas.Not as rough as it looks , peob about a mm.Negligible height at best.

Are you planning to add some gussets to minimize movement of the top relative to the boat?
@rickiekm4 сағат бұрын
I hope this rough coating you are putting on that edge is easy to clean.

Once polished it is perfect, isn't rough at all, quite smooth.

Unfortunately, you don't have stainless steel from the 60's to use. But, you wouldn't have any crack repair content video to share.

Do not put your compass on the top, upside down. You will need a triple jointed neck to read it. You think the bill of a cap gives you a headache trying to this trick. 😅😂. Really man. I may be wrong but grab a compass and stick it to your roof. Look at it two minutes then take four aspirins. Oh try it with a cap on. Where did your horizon go while you were looking up. What part of the compass are you looking at. Forward or aft end. You may have to add 6 inches to your neck. I may be all wrong. Really I might.

Love following you on this project but have to disagree with you on the textured edges. Not a fan
