As Jin Woo mentioned before deciding to kill that first group of hunters. The system is using him and he's going to use the system and in my opinion a big part of him "using the system" is holding on to his sense of self while continuing to get stronger. (The system wants to devour him if you ask me.) He still holds on to the thread that ties him to some part of his humanity while simultaneously becoming the ultimate protector of all he holds, dear.

I’ve always seen it as self reflection. As he grows and he’s put into these situations that he’s now powerful enough to overcome, he’s becoming more aware of how his perspectives are changing. Cause the system never says he’s losing an emotion, it’s always something he’s kind of taking stock of himself. To me it’s not that he’s lost the emotion altogether, but it’s not being triggered in the same way it used to. He doesn’t need anger because his opponent isn’t worth the anger. Previously he might have gotten angry because he was powerless and that was all he could do, but now he’s able to see more clearly and gauge the difference in strength and knows it’s just not worth it. That’s just how I’d always seen it at least.

Actually it's not even remotely ballsy of Kang to assume he can kill them all. He's at the top of B rank, he's facing someone in C rank. He massively outclasses him in raw power, and on top of that the C rank is a mage and his assassin class directly counters it. The B rank is a healer with no offensive abilities and the only other person there is an E rank who should by all reason be completely helpless. We even see that he doesn't even have to go all out to beat Mr. Song and Joohee with ease. And Jinwoo has changed so much that he doesn't even recognize him from before so there would be nothing to tip him off that the random E rank would become a problem out of no where.

Just a little detail, Ju-Hee has been in that outfit the whole time, she just had that little jacket on over it.

This was such a good episode. The colors and sound washing out as Jin Woo uses his murderous intent to end the fight. The music choice as the assassin is dying, philosophizing with Jin Woo on the nature of what he has become. Masterfully done.

I’m glad you’re diving into the depths of the story and not just completely labeling it as a generic power fantasy! Amazing reaction!

I don't see lv up thing have direct impact on his emotion. It just that the situations force him to. If he wasn't lv up this whole time Kang would have kill them all. But even so I do believe Jinwoo will choose the fight to protect himself and his team still. It happen to be human that challenge his survival instinct, and he have a power to self defense. Hope he won't turn bad yeah.

Jin Woo is in his chrysalis phase. Hopefully we see his change by the season finale.

I would have sold my entire soul if that would have prevented my mother from dying...

🚩💀🚩 apology? Mr Kim? 🚩💀🚩 This is why you do not split the party..... This is also not going to be good for JooHee's PTSD and Self esteem recovery.... Kang on that BlackOps Protocol: No Witnesses 💀 🧐 But he screwed up the solo encounter math: 1. Drop the healer 2. Drop the ads 3. Drop the main Welp, looks like Mr Song and JooHee have joined the Raid Party.🫡
