Russia is struggling to build all the things it needs to be built for its economy to grow, there are lots of things India workers could be paid to produce like civilian shipping for the Russian market that will boost the Russian economy and also provide work for Indian workers so it would be win win for both sides and money would not be sitting doing nothing in accounts. This would free up Russian shipyards to get upgrades they need to produce more efficiently and get new military vessels into service more quickly. India could use the income to upgrade their own shipyards at the same time and improve the quality and performance of their shipyards too. The only loser is the west but they decided they wanted Ukraine and Taiwan as friends and Russia and China as enemies.
