@@Max-hn5fs with very little gun velocity, so its very hard to fire even at medium range, you also have to adjust for the 6 shots since they fire from a different spot(especially at short range), and you have armor that can be considered negligible, so at short range where you can be effective you cannot resist a shot from anything, and your current rotation is also highly limited

IS-4 is in an even worse state than the Maus. Maus can actually survive hits and has decent pen for its BR (at 313mm) with the luxury of fireing smoke from its 75mm and having 6 crew members. Most of my deaths in the Maus are ATGMs or planes.

I’m right with you on the armor meta Phly, I’ve probably spent 70% of my ground battle time using the American premium T28 (which was the best premium purchase I’ve ever made for my enjoyment). I love having to actually think about where I position my armor and being able to rely on at least my frontal armor blocking 95% of shots and how I can best be effective to covering choke points and protecting myself and team. Since I can get flanked easily from the side or rear I’m always have a fun time trying to be aware of what’s going on. Really wish armor was actually armor again, not about how fast you can click. My grandpa was a wrecker in WW2 in Patton's army. His job was to go out and drag tanks back to mechanics or fix them in the field and he said it was the worst smell ever because half them still had dead crew inside when he go to them often burnt up. The is4m's biggest strength is it's speed, it goes 30-40km/h on a plains, 40-50km/h on a road, I flank the enemy team all the time with this monster. Shit gun sure, but you can flank enemies and you WILL kill when you pen.

US:M6A1, Jumbo 75mm, Super-Pershing, M103 GER: Churchill III , KV-1(Kwk75mm), KV-1B, Tiger H1/, Tiger II(H) USSR: KV1 series accept S variant >:(, IS-2(5.7), T10M Britain: Churchill III/VII, Conqueror Other than listed above most of Heavy are over tier or can still be penetrate frontally in full downtier, They did T32E1/Maus/IS-3/4 dirty :(((

The IS-4M is literally the Soviet Maus. It's not a Premium bought with money, and it's rocking armor equivalents between 200 - 300mm around nearly the entire vehicle. I really love playing it, in a down tier it's absolute murder.

I enjoy my maus and those moments where I'm at just the right spot where mbts bounce right off me or only damage bits or a bomb goes off next to me and only takes out my tracks so I have to bunker it.. I take those games of being one shotted across the map by a BMP missile just to live those moments where I can feel the confidence of being able to be smacked around so much and keep on going

Some tanks are impossible to balance, too low br and its invulnerable to some tanks, too high and it is uselessly armored and slow. They should maybe get preference mm, like a smaller mm range (less than +1 -1 br). I know it is far from ideal, bad, but better than it is right now. IS-4, IS-3, Maus are a good example. Tiger 2 are just op and should all get uptiered

IMO, best thing to do would be matchmaking based on rank, rather than BR. Fixed 1000pts for spawns, cost of spawn determined by BR. This would allow them to have far better control of matchmaking and balance, so there's less issue of tanks that are effectively BR independent (like the R3) and others which are useless in uptiers, but seal club in downtiers. It would also encourage more varied lineups instead of just picking everything at the same BR, which would also help with balancing nations with huge vehicle rosters with nations that have limited vehicle choices, where they're forced to bring useless tanks into grotesque uptiers
