Griffon is the closest thing we got to a good starter. Also, it doesn't even have restriction that it needs another name D/D to summon itself. Which... *looks at Gilgamesh* is really surprising. If only Griffon had actually good and always useful Pendulum Effect.

@@artkondratyev4307 idk, ash and veiler didn't stop good builds for years imo. Droll was a problem, I dunno if new support fixes it but I hope so. Nib might be a problem as well, but "any interruption stops it" has never been true in my experience. I think main problem is that deck is built on 3-4 card combos (heard Griffon helps that) and going 2nd is extremely hard. In a tourney setting, you brick at times as games go on and burn out at some point. At that time, DDD throws you under the bus worse than Ritual Beasts could xd.

@@boraaksitozgun9912 the big issue with the deck is the same issue that plagues pend.deck. it takes d/d/d 3 cards to throw up a board most current deck can do with 1, and it has some very poingant choke points. the new cards go a long way to helping this deck, but it still needs something to pull the archetype together.

It's not going to be meta relevant because it's too susceptible go hand traps. And literally any of them at that. People aren't exploring it properly, but I believe pendulum is the direction this deck needs to go in

Yeah imo that's a problem in general, the weaknesses aren't shown enough. Have two sections - the deck goes off curbstomping meta decks or winning against them (showing how the deck can fair against meta deck) then have a section pointing out the weaknesses and negatives in which it gets stomped by said decks to show what plays are vulnerable and how the deck is weak to meta interruption.

This support was geared towards the pendulum aspect of the deck, but you can cheat some lines even in the Halq build. Some notes: @7:40 since you know that you play vs swordsoul, you should have kept Siegfried there due to your field Spell. - After Ecclesia was summoned, they had turn player priority to activate her quick effect first, if it were a higher stakes match they could Gamma bait you. - You had Savage for Fusion Destiny and Verte, Makina to prevent 2/3 of their monsters generating a token and perform a synchro summon as well, so i believe you should play better around Gamma in the future (this is a note for you vs Swordsoul in general i hope you dont mind) - You should have given King Tell a chance. While a more pure version has substantially lower ceiling, there are 1/2 card combos with respectable results. D/D as a deck has 2 major problems (on top of some questionable wording/card design): 1) It's extremely punishing on misplays and sequencing. 2) It makes the dedicated players hyper combo instead of minding some resources, comparing it directly with Dragon Link-eque decks, and it cannot compete in that arena (d-link, fp gouki, fp infernoble, drytron and other spam decks). The deck is more like Salads now, making enough disruption to limit the opponent and survive, with its true power being in the followup turn.

Maybe the biggest benefit Griffon brings to the table is that the deck now has some very good 2 card combos that then can be expanded. Before afaik the deck mostly had 3 card combos, which were strong but consistency was an issue. Now something Like Kepler + Griffon/Copernicus can end you on Siegfried + High Caesar + Makina (new Xyz) which is 1 Spell negate, 2 monster absorbs from Makina and 2 summon negates

Griffon is a good card indeed But imo playing 3 griffon is somehow kinda wrong (cmiiw), since you prefer to see swirl/lamia and save the space for crossout and allure to draw an extender. Because the deck itself really suffer from nib, droll, and another high impact HT

@Shark P That's the one I came up with: NS Kepler, search Griffon SS Griffon, Kepler+Griffon into Gilgamesh with Rage and Cerberus and PS everything Cop send Necro Slime Cop + Griffon into Caesar, Caesar + Gilga#1 into Gilga#2, search Swamp Swamp FS Genghis#1 with Kepler(field) and Gilga#1(GY) Necro FS Genghis#2 with itself and Cop Genghis res Griffon, search Lamia Genghis + Genghis into High Caesar Lamia send Swamp to SS itself, Cerberus makes it Lv4, Lamia + Griffon into Sieg Gilga#2 into Makina There are at least 2 other variations of this play alone. 1 that doesn't use Cerberus as a Garnet and instead needs a third Gilgamesh and one that only uses 2 Gilgamesh but uses Gate as an active combo piece and thus is less consistent. Griffon is excellent in basically all aspects. It extends, it searches and it gives an extreme boost to the decks pendulum aspect. Anything less than a 3-of is a waste of the card's potential

Biggest issue with the deck is the engine requirement; the engine is so big, and that's a problem in a day and age in which most decks are just 1-card combos, that result in a strong field plus follow-up, as well as defensive cards. Additionally, creating follow-up tends to be a lot harder than most decks, leaving the deck vulnerable to a variety of blowout cards such as DRNM, Droplet, and Zeus. Also, don't forget to play around Lightning Storm :)

Pure D/D/D Is the biggest winner with this support imo I have a combo that features Kepler+Swirl+any D/D or Copernicus+Kepler+any D/D that brings to new Xyz+High Caesar+Siegfried with Gilgamesh scales and gate as follow ups alongside Kepler and Copernicus in the extra deck.The deck has lots of potential but people overlook It for its difficulty.Nonetheless IMO One of the coolest deck out there and maybe with new supports a cute Rogue choice that can steal some victories :)

Look at Darkest Armageddon I forgot what clause it had (idr if it was "Must be Xyz Summoned" or "Cannot be Pendulum Summoned") but it basically implies they didn't want you Pendulum Summoning the Super Dooms and that their Pend Effs were just a bit of a parting gift once they died. Kind of a shame but oh well

There are combos in which you can summon, makina, crystal, siegfried, halq, genghis and gigamesh. Along with the new field spell, making it so you can lock you opponent out of everything. Meaning they can't even Zeus you either. Love this for D/D/D. Waiting on the simorgh video.

You’re better off cutting the crossout package for the fetch support and King Rage. Where arf thou, pendulum call, and The ghostrick-looking card(forgot the name) are needed for this decks consistency. D/D/Ds have zero room for handtraps because they’re so reliant on fetching their combo pieces..If youre even one turn slower than you can be, you’re in trouble.

I saw DDD a loooot yesterday. Luckily I just normal summoned Lilith and tributed whatever excuse for an "interrupt" they had on the board, and my entire sidedeck happened to work against them because they're pretty much the only combo deck that relies on a lot of S/Ts

You need to tribute(unlike necro), can only activate during the turn(no follow up), and also a brick unless you open with slime, for a better card you can just play another swamp in you deck. But deckbuilding is just personal preferences, play what you want to play

Tbh take out crossouts and add 2 ash and take out reborn, field spell for 2 more nibs. Or 1 nib and 1 veiler. You really need cards to go 2nd. Prob should take out 1 for 1 also cus dosent do nun. Crossout good but feel like it isn’t needed in tcg unless format gets to a point it’s needed. But until then I think 9 hand traps is best for optimization. Cus as I can see the deck is very bricky and looks like it just unplayable going 2nd unless opp opened ass
