Y’all are very lucky. I wish we did, at 28 I’m currently fighting my insurance to cover any sort of extractions I need done to the point I’m going to need implants placed because my teeth will be damaged MORE by the time they approve anything. My insurance actually didn’t cover any sort of dental at all for adults. Once you turned 18 they cut off all dental. Not great since you need dental to prevent anything worse from happening.

We have general / universal health care as well in Belgium + 6 governments for a teeny tiny country. Obviously for all of it, we are taxed to death (about 50% of a medial income for a 2 working adult home). And still our health care is not free! Oh no. I have a disability and pay between €100 to €150 on my basic medications a month.

Great job on the whole garden work and the fence! I am bringing in the upholstery steam cleaners to clean all the house carpets, curtains and sofas and armchairs etc- time for it to be done. Going through a lot family wise at home etc . So, busy and tired out!

Amy I had your mindset with the insurance issue. We never got sick so I felt I didn’t want to spend so much on insurance. We are self employed too. Well in November after a routine check up I was diagnosed with cancer. At 45 and the first in my family in 5 generations. Now insurance is the most important part of my life. Invest in a good insurance because you never know. God bless!!

You can cook your turkey burgers in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes and you won't have a big mess. Just spray a foil lined pan and it works really well.

The same here in Germany. It's good not to be alone in emergencies, especially as a single mother. It's bad enough when a child gets sick. Or a mother cannot take care of her children because of illness.

Amy, your advice on insurance, is spot on.... When you talk about taking care of your teeth... That's critical advice.... FORWARNED is Forarmed!!! An abscessed tooth can cause very serious consequences.... Including death, so your advice is taken with experience behind it... The dental plan, you really Nailed it!! Teeth are EXPENSIVE, especially when they need more maintenance... Compared to the typical american diet, you and your family, eat a very healthy diet. You guys are pretty active, ( with the exception of some time for yourself, time) that's the core of being healthy... Being blessed and you're extremely grateful!! Thanks for the excellent information!!

I switched to CHM years ago after my employer started to charge more for insurance if you're over a certain weight. I felt that my work performance had nothing to do with that and it seemed a bit invasive with them having a say over what and how I eat or exercise when I'm off the clock. My kids and I are on the Silver plan, and compared to what I would pay at work, it's far cheaper and my funds are going to help my Christian brothers and sisters. Win-win in my book! 😀😀😀

Good morning. Thanks for the tips on dentist. I will have to check them out. You motivate me everyday, I could teach you the art of not doing anything. That would be you don't paint, you chill in pool or in sun and it is a day for a chrockpot meal, dump and go. I know it feels good to chip away on your list. School is over, yippee. Now we have 2 3hr classes and 1 2hr class a week for a month, then she is done with that. I am excited that she is working 30hr a week now. That means I can get stuff done around the house. Because she worked remote all school year, I couldn't do anything that made noise, now I can. Our mugginess left last night, one nice day before temps and humidity back up. Not all optometrists will measure your pupils for free. When I lived in Montana, (Now, kind in mind this guy was an absolute jerk to me anyway) I got my perscription and asked for them to measure my pupils. They said they would charge me an additional 45 dollars for that as a "service fee".
