I'm vegetarian and it is cheaper if you do it right, I would recommend buying things like dried beans and legumes and grains like rice and pasta - these are much cheaper than ready made vegetarian burgers or chicken nuggets :)

RusselWongOfficial why do I care? Now that seems like a very juvenile response. I care because we're in a GLOBAL PANDEMIC which means it effects us GLOBALLY. So ultimately it effects me as well even here in Canada. I understand the desire to create memories and have experience but do it responsibly close to home ...this is not forever it's just for now. Those cold sores are a huge pain especially when they're at the blister stage.. I bought some cream that helped it go away faster so I am guessing I don't have one now. Hope you're feeling better soon and enjoy your trip.

I get cold sores as well. Abreva works great but if you don't havd any on hand, I use peroxide and apply with a q-tip to help dry it out. Once it drys out, I use Vaseline and polysporin to help heal the sore, always use a q-tip. Also, you need to throw away any lipsticks , balms that you've used or it'll keep spreading! Good Luck!

I sufer badly with coldsore I've had 5 in the past few weeks.. And I've finally found that the normal mouth bonjela stuff works a treat i brought the 4 in 1 action one .. And my coldsore has gone in 5 days which is pretty amazing as they normally last 2 weeks.... I hate them and I know how u feel I also put suncream on my lips when the sun is out..

Just in case you didn't know the sun is a massive trigger for cold sore i erupt whenever we go on holiday I now get a course of zovirax tablets off the doctor that you start taking the day before you go and for the duration and I swear you will not suffer,they are so awful I had 5 at once on one holiday 😒

My husband gets cold sores when he is run down, I remember once he actually had four sores on his lips, thankfully that was a one off, loving the vlogs you both must be shattered with all the driving take care, enjoy Portugal....we love you all ❤❤❤

Do you eat more chocolate and drink fizzy drinks on holiday? They can affect cold sores I'm guessing you've already tried upping you vitamin C,E and Zinc. I'm vegan and yes processed foods cost more. I try and balance it out with cheaper meals in between you can use lentils or diced mushrooms as a mince alternative to make a bolognaise or chilli, my ultimate cheap and quick meal is spiced butter beans you need tinned butter beans tinned chopped tomatoes then fry some chopped onion when cooked add butter beans, tomatoes, smoked paprika, garlic and herbs to taste and its yummy on ta nice fresh crusty bread toasted or served with mash/pasta etc.

Coldsores are horrible. They make me feel rubbish too and I get them when run down as well. Had them since I was a child. Totally know how you feel. The plaster things for coldsores help a little as not as self conscious and takes away some discomfort. X

In regards to the fridge, we used to bring another fridge that we kept in our awning. We could just plug it and it went in the boot while we was travelling. It meant we could have a lot more cold food! xxx

Not sure where you are, I’m really familiar with Portugal as my parents are in the algarve. Pingo dolce is the best Portuguese supermarket, sooo cheap!! Depending on where you are there are some Iceland’s (in almancil and guia) which sell all iceland stuff and Waitrose stuff and English brands. Their version of Waitrose is called apalonia

You should look at buying the bosh vegan cook book. There are loads of recipes in there that don’t use meat substitutes but use veg and pulses and beans instead which make it so much cheaper!

I haven't had a cold sore for a few years now but been feeling very run down lately n got a cold sore it was getting very big and was very itchy and very sore i decided to try hand sanitiser on it put it on a few times it calmed down very quickly and started getting smaller the itching and soreness completely gone it might be worth putting hand sanitiser on yours hopefully it will calm down and start to disappear quickly x

Hi Sarah, have you ever heard of the skincare brand Tropics? Its vegan, crutley free and all nautral ingredients. There ethos is amazing you should definitely look at there website its honestly game changing products! Also I personally suffer from coldsores but since I have been using there tamanu balm as a lip balm I haven't had a single one, you should definitely look into the balm it amazing!!

My bills after going vegan are cheaper. The trick is not to eat a lot of packaged foods. Eat as much whole foods and in season fruits and veg. Things like beans, lentils, rice, tinned items, frozen fruit/veg, potatoes, nuts/seeds are good to have. Some things I highly suggest are one pot meals, tray bakes (with tofu/ beans/ tempeh and veg), buddah bowls. Try making hummus at home, and smashed chickpea salad sandwiches. I know your girls love lettuce so make big salads with beans and seeds :) I send you some links on instagram to cheap veg meals!

Hello guys! Just quick message to Sarah regarding cold sores!! I suffer with them too, and I am constantly putting lip balm on to prevent me from getting them as I get them when I'm run down. Also if I'm out in the sun without any protection on my lips I get them. The wind causes them too! Once i was in Spain and because i didnt protect my lips i literally had them all over my lips top and bottom completely covered it was awful :-( my advise get some lip balm or suncream on. Good luck!
