Actually, if you look closely at her left leg while she was walking with the little boy, you can see markings on her leg. It was a little detail that tells us something about her.

@@louiselukins2348 I'm pretty sure it's implied that she went into the closed off area without knowing it was heavily trapped, and got caught by a bear trap whiched caused her to bleed to death. The 'you found me' message was most likely from a piece of candy she ate before she died.

Someone actually made a theory when this came out. The story is the girl went out on Halloween alone with no friends. She got lost cause she went out trick or treating too long that the lights on the streets went off. She ended up in the woods and got caught in a bear trap, which results to a mark on her leg, she manage to get off the bear trap but she bled too much so she died under the tree. (Also implying she had negligent parents or just parents who taught she just went out trick or treating with friends)

I do appreciate how the mom still took a picture of him and his friend even tho she knew the girl wasn’t real. She let the boy have fun and didn’t invalidate him. At least until she got a professional input from the doctor

Mike Inel did such a good one on this, even after all this years this story still makes me cry, this is actually kind of like a personal project to them. I remember Mike Inel did like a character design contest on Devianart on which they will be featured in this animation, the winners were the ones who are actually giving out the candies and the other Halloween children there are honorable mentions on the contest. And there's actually an art they did where the lil kid is all grown beside a little girl.

this animation hits harder cus there isnt anyone you can really blame for the death of the little girl, there is no murder, she just got lost and injured by a bear trap, and sometimes to cope we need to put the blame on other rather than ourselves

There was a Dark Theory of this Animation. If you look closely to the Missing List, It said, Last Seen: At home with Family. Someone concluded she was kidnapped or trying to get away and went to the danger zone then you know the rest.

With all the scars on her corpse, she mightve been hurt more times, maybe she got caught by a bear trap and tried to find a place to rest, but she just got hurt with furhter more bear traps, because the flashlight points to a bear trap and then point to the girl’s corpse

That hurt. Damn, that pain is hard to get past. I think I could tell where it was going, but even then the fact that such a cute animation was disturbed with the rotting corpse of a little missing girl was not anything predictable. I think she died like this she was like she got hit by a bear trap and then she laid down with the bear trap. She tried to remove the bear trap, but it was stuck there so she ate one of her candies and it said you found me and so she went to sleep because she was tired of running from something. I don’t know. I just think it’s this she slept and then worms came and bugs and they came on her blood and she died when she was sleeping.😊
