I have had to work in community mental health for years to get experience I can then use in private practice. I now see people graduating and opening shop without any experience, or the clinical knowledge you gain from years of actually working with people. Maybe we need to reframe the original problem as not the real problem

Im getting out of PP and therapy altogether after 6 years, Im so tired of fluctuating pay checks, and dealing with insurance companies. I rarely get self pay clients, here in the Mid/south

@@vmrazek make sure they have contracts with all insurance companies within the state.. their contact information and address needs to be updated on all business listing platforms like yelp, yellow pages, psychology today etc.. there should be a solid social media presence.. 3 posts every week.. add a touch of personal branding.. networking with local primary care physicians so that you can get patients who have plans like HMO and EPO plans.. maybe get licenses for other states and provide telehealth there as well... Also, practicing for 6 years means this person would have plenty of missed calls, unfilled consent forms, no-shows etc.. I have seen significant improvements in practices who do proper follow up with such patients.. the best thing is you replicate a program like headway and alma (this is the best) .. automate! There are plenty of ways..
