The woman convicted may have escaped prison, but I hope that - as is usual - she will never be able to go to the USA for the remainder of her life due to their ban on any foreign national convicted of assault entering their country. @@NannyRose2289 obviously you haven't a clue what you're on about. It was never about leaving the ECHR, that organisation has nothing to do with the EU. We're not tied by any EU law, the ECJ has no authority over us whatsoever, except for the NI fiasco! We adopted some of the laws we were subject to from the EU, they're now incorporated into our legal system. There is no freedom of movement, that stopped when we left. You really need to take a step back and think about the subject!
