I try to stay away from contagious things like that because of my age, and because I'm allergic to the flu vaccine. I won't go into details but I got very sick within 2-3 hours after taking the flu vaccine, and I haven't had another flu shot since 2000! Prayers for Brooke's and MaryCarl's quick recovery. I think it's because they keep their hens happy, healthy and clean and parasites free. They have an almost perfect environment, a clean coop and nesting boxes free of parasites and feces. The ladies are protected by their gaurd goose, which helps with their stress. He feeds them good quality chicken feed and laying scratch. I think he occasionally adds apple cider vinegar w/mother to their water and maybe vitamins too.
