@tracyjohnson50235 ай бұрын
@@naejimbamany of them aren't as slam dunk as they appear on the surface. Why? Because the US government has things like the EOE (equal opportunity employment) which is the newer face of affirmative action. There are quotas employers, universities, school systems, have to meet mandated by law or policy. Same thing really. They all usually have the few required number of white men there anyway, as there's an abundance of qualified candidates in that pool. They love to hire women of any color except white because they can check 2 boxes off on the quota instead of one. Interestingly, studies have found that people who had admission standards lowered to be accepted into tougher colleges, rarely graduate. These same people could've gone to colleges or trade schools where they met admission standards and probably done well. Like many things designed to "help" it usually winds up hurting. We are past time in this country to abolish these quotas and just be able to hire the most qualified person. The lawsuit against harvard by Asian students that went to the Supreme Court where they won is a start, but not near enough. Abolishing diversity departments is a step in the right direction, but getting rid of AA and EOE is needed.

Because this guy found a lawyer cuz he had an insta account with a million or millions of followers so his distress beacon was seen by many... only one lawyer responded. The thing is the judges can and very possibly will throw it out cuz he is white. He would have to get lucky again. So to answer your question, its basically impossible to find lawyers that will take these cases up for normal people, Im sure many have tried. Its actually not that easy to sue in the US unless its for like 2 or 3 things, injury and criminal defense lawyers seem to be 80 to 90% of all lawyers out there. And the discrimination ones are almost always even explicitly nonwhite and/or antiwhite. So people would have to find a pro white lawyer, and at least a neutral judge, which is another difficult thing to do. So they would have to get extremely lucky twice... This applies towards all other forms of anti white discrimination as well. The entire system is made to oppress white people, it has been this way for a long time, at first subtly, now they dropped the subtlety after decades of no one stopping them in any meaningful way. Does this answer your question?

The regional manager in charge of the hiring for this role came in to meet us all. She started by trashing her husband, and didn't give me the time of day, other than to sneer at me a few times. She wouldn't even interview me. Rather, she handed the job to a female co-worker who had been on the firing block for total lack of performance. I asked the regional why I wasn't even interviewed or considered and she said, "if you don't like it, leave!". I then complained to HR and leveled a discrimination complaint. I was fired later that day. I sued them and won $38,000. This was in LA, too. I'll never work in an office again. This is rampant. If you are a white male and apply on LinkedIn in and see a white woman on the receiving end of your app, I promise you it is being deleted without even being opened. Edit to add: The branch was closed within a year. I know, it's all very Office Space and The Office.

I am a recruiter for a fortune 500 company and the hoops that I must jump through to hire the perceived downtrodden population of America are absolutely insane. I have to fill out a DEI questionnaire with every potential hire. I have to meet a weekly quota and meet with my supervisor once a week to go over it. I was told to wear a different coloured blouse every day to rep. the LGBTQIA community for pride month. I have been in this game for a long time and in the last few years it has gotten to a new level of insanity. A meritocracy is what we should be striving for in this country. Not whatever this is!

I've been fortunate enough to be one of those actors who work all the time. I'm relied upon, I'm not sensitive and troublesome but I do good work and put the work, not my ego first. I am passionate about the words and seek to give the people of the working world my 100% that they may enjoy fully their night out at the theatre for example. I can't get in a room anymore. My agent sends me the breakdowns and I see the bits that we are not supposed to see. "We're looking for people of colour for this". "Authentic gay people". etc etc. They would ask me to tape because if others heard I was taping then they would to and it looks good for the agency. I recently started saying 'No' to these tapings. I've had a near 30 year career pulled out from under me because I'm straight and white. The truth is, Most actors are the type that want to be famous first rather than be good at something they'll do or say anything to be involved. If I had a dollar for every actor (from any racial background) who slated pronoun people privately (for example) and then pretended to be allies just to get a job and bullshit a casting person, while adding pronouns to their social media bios. Then I wouldn't need to work again.

When I first got hired in my field, I was told by the boss of bosses that the only thing that could make me a better candidate was if I was black (I’m a white guy). Not an intentional venture to be some diversity advocate. My best friend to this day is a black man, since middle school. My biggest mentor in the professional world is a black man. My step siblings and step mother are all black. Many times at work I was the only white man in the room. What I’m saying is that I’m from middle America, where my friends and I are just friends. We have never seen each other as being a different color. Never even talked about it. It wasn’t a thing. Still isn’t. This whole culture of exclusion and race baiting has been manufactured by the elitist class. Everyone, we, the common men and women, need do nothing more than continue living our lives.
