NOT MANY West Midlands Railway Trains stop at these Two Stations

Quick correction, I do mispronounce Bearley wrong at the start of the video but I do find this out while travelling to the Station on the 1st Train do but mention the mispronunciation during the video. And I am aware there there more trains on a Saturday which mentioned while editing the video

Chiltern and WMR use different pronunciations, Chiltern correctly say “Beer-Lee”, whereas WMR use the incorrect “Bare-Lee”. According to the public timetables they were no longer request stops from the December 2023 timetable change, but the crew instructions still indicate for them to stop only on request. Some crew decide to stop anyway, others treat them as request stops. There has been a thread about this on railforums, but numerous requests to WMR have failed to get the crew and passenger status aligned.

Great vlog Simon. A few years ago the stations used have a irregular service as I remember My Chiltern Train stopped at Bearly but not Claverdon as I’m yet to visit Claverdon so I suppose 1tp2h is not too bad for Them small village stations with occasional WMR services. Although with them being in The West Midlands Region you would think it would be WMR running the Leamington Stratford Shuttle Service and not Chiltern.

Great vid Si! Bearley is so cool and is very close to Edstone Aqueduct which runs over the railway. Also, just want to point out, Alcester is pronounced as "Olster"!

There some Stations in the UK that never got modernised and left alone. The Line towards Stratford-Upon-Avon back then was just a branch line which started at Birmingham Moor Street

I visited these in November 2024 shortly before you Simon, and also used both Chiltern and WM Trains. Definitely didn't request any stops, the trains stop normally now. Enjoyed the video, looks like you had worse weather than me! 😀

This was back in Early December when I filmed this video and think there was rain the night before as when travelling I noticed some of the roads if I wanted to walk between the two were flooded. Did rain at Claverdon for a bit as well

I googled it, those 2 stations are request stops for WMR but not Chiltern Railways from what I've read

The Chiltern service from Stratford to Leamington is usually a Class 168 for some reason, but the Birmingham Moor Street to Leamington service is usually a Class 165.

Bearley and Claverdon railway station has a few WMR services provided because these stations have 2 hour chiltern railways service from Leamington Spa and stratford upon Avon

Hi Simon, when i was showing my friend these stations. I asked WMR on Twitter beforehand and they said that they weren't request stops however on the approach to Bearley the guard made an announcement mentioning that you need to request it to him so we had to run down the whole train to him so i'm still not quite sure

Sounds like Eastrington, Yorkshire. 2 trains a day stop there, and Pilning, where 2 trains a week stop there.

Not quite, These 2 Stations are served very well with a 2 hourly Chiltern Railways service but there a few West Midlands Railway Trains stop here 5 on a weekday and 9 on a weekend

I remember doing this line 3 years ago in January and they were both request stops for WMR only with a 2 hour service from Chiltern. (165 Turbos back then).. AND DAMMIT 172 TRASH!!! GET OUTTA HERE!!

I needed to know why they couldn’t dig a tunnel and do an extension for most of the mainline Trains so that they could extend the unused abandoned underground train stations. Why couldn’t they use the part D78 Stock train doors on the sides and also restructure the front face of the A60 and A62 stock which will include the class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314 and class 315 remix and make them all together and also redesign all of them into an overhead wire line trains and also make most of them into Five carriages per units and also having three Disabled Toilets on those Five cars per units A60 and A62 stock trains and also convert the A60 and A62 stock trains into a Scania N113, Gardner 6LXC, Leyland 680, Volvo D10M, Gardner 6LXCT, Leyland 510, Volvo B10M, Gardner 6LXB, Cummins M11 and Gardner 8LXB Diesel Engines and also put the Loud 6 Speed Voith Gearboxes even Loud 10 Speed Leyland Hydra cyclic Gearboxes in the A60 and A62 stock, class 507, class 508, class 313, class 314, and class 315 and also modernise the A60 and A62 stock and make it into 10 carriages per unit so it could have fewer doors, more tables, computers and mobile phone chargers? A Stock Train and Seven Disabled Toilets on those A stock trains. why couldn’t we refurbish and modernise the waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel and make it even much more Larger and extend it to the bank station, making it into a Triple-Track Railway Line so those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden to convert the waterloo and city line Triple-Track Railway tunnel into a High-Speed Railway lines? The Third Euro tunnel Triple-Track Railway line to make it 11 times better for passengers so they could go from A to B. Then put the modernised 10 carriages per unit A Stock and put them on a bigger modernised Waterloo and city line Triple-Track train tunnel so it could go to bank station to those Five countries such as Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. The modernised refurbished 10 carriages per unit A stock could be a High Speed The Third Triple-Track Euro Tunnel Train So it is promising and 47 times a lot more possible to do this kind of project if that will be OK for London Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden. oh by the way, could they also tunnel the Triple-Track Railway Line so it will stop from Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex so that the Passengers will go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden and also extend the Triple-Track Railway Line from the Bank to Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Essex Stations so that more people from there could go to Australia, Germany, Italy, Poland And Sweden more Easily. Why couldn't they extend the Bakerloo Line and also build brand-new underground train stations so it could go even further right up to Clapton, Wood Street can they also make another brand new underground train station in Chingford and could they extend the Bakerloo Line and the DLR right up to Chingford? Could you also convert all of the 1972 stock trains into an air-conditioned maximum speed 76 km/hours (46 MPH) re-refurbished and make it into a 7 cars per unit if that will be alright, and also extend all of the Bakerloo train stations to make more space for all of the extended 7 car per unit 1972 stock air condition trains and can you also build another Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive Companies and can they order Every 57 Octagon and Every 88 Hexagon shape LNER diagram unique small no.14 and unique small no.11 Boilers from those Countries such as Greece, Italy, Poland, and Sweden, can they make Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive speeds by up to 127MPH so you can try and test it on the Original Mainline so it will be much more safer for the Passengers to enjoy the 127MPH speed Limit only for HS2 and Channel Tunnel mainline services, if they needed 14 Carriages Per units, can they use those Deltic class 40’s Deltic class 44’s, Deltic class 46’s and class 43HST Diesel Locomotive’s right at the Back of those 16 Carriages Per Units so they can take over at the Back to let those Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s have a rest for those interesting Journeys Please!!!!!!!!, oh can you make all of those 17 Tonne Boxes of Coal for all of those 127MPH Mayflower and Tornado Steam Locomotive’s so the Companies will Understand us PASSENGER’S!!!!!!! So please make sure that the Builders can do as they are told!!!!!!!! And PLEASE do something about these very very important Professional ideas Please?
