Love the new location can’t beat an s-bend.👏👏have you ever seen anything in the loop .?
@DiggleJunction2 жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely! It's quite a way from the house but for the odd special working coming out of Yorkshire, it will definitely be worth it. The odd thing does stop off in the loop, it's not used often because it's relatively short but you'll see a few bits in my past videos. Thanks for the comment mate.

Great vid and thanks for showing the other two portals. The canal and river trust use them for shadowing boats through the canal tunnel as well. The thing that always amuses me about the canal tunnel, is that it goes under a carpark. That probably sounds stupid, but i know what i mean 😂

Thanks a lot Paul. It is rather odd now I think about it haha.

Another great and interesting video, it makes me think I ought to spend some time with my cam on the other side of the tunnel along the Colne Valley capturing some of these movements for myself too!

Definitely mate, always plenty to see up our way. Thanks a lot.

Good evening Buddy 👍🏻 Cracking video and a fantastic location 😊 My wife lived in Diggle for a few years before I met her. We lived in Royton together for 15 years and visited that location a few times. We now live at Barton north of Preston with the West Coast in our back garden 🪴 lol 😆 Whenscthe fizzy knitting going up? Keep the great videos up cheers Stevie.

Hi Stevie, thanks for the comment, what a small world! Hope it brings back some good memories for your other half! I know Royton very well, my brother used to live there. Bet there's plenty of action up the WCML where you are now, fantastic! Fizzy knitting is always up now haha. All the best mate.

Been enjoying your videos for a few weeks now. Your new location- I'm sure I used to spot from that footbridge! I was brought up in Uppermill (left nearly 50 years ago), we lived pretty close to what I believe is called the relief line - signal box and goods warehouse is what I remember! Now it's the swimming pool if you know it. Feel very nostalgic for Saddleworth when I see Wharmton in the background of some shots!
@DiggleJunction2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Peter, I know exactly where you mean. That line, the Mickelhurst loop is sadly now closed and just the mainline runs through Saddleworth. Makes me very happy to bring you some nostalgia, really appreciate the comment. Cheers.

Nice one as per usual did you see the Knottingley T.M.D movements
@DiggleJunction2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate, I did manage to get out and catch the Knottingley movements (missed one as it rumbled past when I was in bed haha). They’ll feature in the next vid 👍🏻

I'm enjoying watching these videos, despite knowing very little about the railways. So I'm wondering why there seem to be quite a few movements with just one, or two/three locomotives but no wagons.
@DiggleJunction6 ай бұрын
I’m glad to hear that mate. They often move locos simply to get them between yards/depots for different workings but the ones over our line are often because they’ve been for some attention over at Balm Rd depot in Leeds and are needed back in Crewe.

Although I live near Guide Bridge, I also live very close to the incredibly busy Denton station, that hive of activity although we do get some Drax traffic..

Thanks for braving the weather again. Am I right in thinking that the rare DB 66 was the "Bin Liner" diverted from its usual route through Summit Tunnel?
@DiggleJunction2 жыл бұрын
Cheers Bill, that snow only seemed to happen for the 10 minutes I was out and that was it haha. You’re 100% correct, it usually runs the other over the Calder valley, not sure why it came this way this time. As always thanks for the support.

Thanks a lot another great video, the camera you are installing, in conjunction with Railcam?
@DiggleJunction2 жыл бұрын
Cheers John, the cam will run hopefully from this channel for now. Railcam were good enough to give out the information on all the equipment they use which made finding the right stuff very easy.
