Cheers Philip, there’s a corker coming up in the next episode following along a ROG 37.

Enjoyed it Luke. Floppsie was certainly not breaking any speed records. "like drivin miss Daisie"
@DiggleJunction Жыл бұрын
Haha cheers mate, yeah they seemed to open up on the other side of that bridge so I’m guessing there’s some sort of speed limit there for the station and it being the end of the line.

Love the brear’s heathd Luke! Nice to see the super 60 in action. Appreciate you chase the locos and take the time waiting on our behalf.
@DiggleJunction Жыл бұрын
Haha cheers mate, was wondering if anyone would notice that. Think those ELR locos were worth it in the end, bit of a sunk cost fallacy, I’d been there so long the thought of going home with no footage couldn’t happen!

Did you mean to say a "a brear's headth" '@ 2.28? Some of us do it deliberately, I make my favourite brew in a perky copulater. Thanks for another great vid. Some nice drone shots, I'm pickled tiink.

Haha I think it’s an Alan Partridge quote as I say it all the time. I’ll have to start using perky copulater 😂 cheers Bill, glad your tink was properly pickled!

Thanks very much Alasdair, apologies for the delay this time around. I try to release the episodes on Fridays but wasn’t home this weekend. Trying to upload a video on the move is much more difficult than I’d have thought it should be!

Thanks for sharing this, I used to work in Heywood for many years and got to see quite a bit coming in and out from the ELR, even when you knew the timings, things could wait at Castleton a good while before heading down the branch, Hopwood crossing was a good location for me, especially in the mornings. I was interested to see both visiting loco's in your film were light engine, at one time the ELR would send a loco to meet the visitors and pretty much pilot them back to Bury from Hopwood crossing as this was a sort of hand over point.
@DiggleJunction Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your insights Paul, very interesting you say that as I was speaking to a guard at the time and he said that was likely what was going to happen. I gather in the end someone had driven down with the token as the mainline driver of the 37 knew the ELR section. I’ll remember that about Hopwood crossing next time I’m over there. Cheers mate.

Thanks Luke, another fascinating vid. Love the drone shot, it really gave you a sense of where everything is (by the way your lawn needs mowing 🤣) and just how much space the electrification groundwork is using up. Appreciate your patience at ELR, I think it was worth it in the end. Once again, it goes to show that the sight of locomotives working through the countryside is a gift that keeps on giving. Thanks again!

Thanks a lot Dave, appreciate that mate 👍🏻 search realtimetrains on google and search for your local station in the ‘detailed’ section, you should be able to find if any freight goes through and you can start there! If there’s nothing but passenger try a larger station in your area (assuming you’re in the UK that is lol). Thanks for the comment.
