Great video Eric. I have a little advice for your trees. In Ohio where we had our house for 20 years, we had several trees around our house that limbs would fall. We had a tree trimmer come and trim those trees every other year. It kept them healthier and so much less debris falling. And they looked so pretty after they were trimmed. And it will keep your roof cleaner and less damage done to it. 😊👍

Eric, you need to review your techno library. I don't recall ever using a "CTR" screen, however the Cathode Ray Tube was what every early TV screen was made from. Also called the CRT. You have your own little RV park there in Illinois. Just park your RV and you have your own laundry, game room, storage facility, and playground. You don't have to share it with anyone except the carpenter bees!

Should get someone to come checkout the trees. For a few hundred bucks (Canadian) we had a guy come out, assess the trees, and clear out the dead branches. It’s good for the trees, and it makes things safer too. You still have branches drop, but that’ll help, and given how long you’re away, it’ll decrease the chances of something big coming down, and either hitting your house or someone.
@alanberk37213 жыл бұрын
You need to have your trees trimmed . That will help the falling of the dead branches.

If you have to be stuck in a massive traffic jam, there is nothing better than being in an RV! We rented an RV to go up north to watch the total eclipse in August of 2017. Afterwards, we were headed back to the RV park and the highways were just like that--an absolute parking lot. BUT... you're already in your home so, it's not that bad--actually, it was kinda fun.

I had to go to war with those carpenter bees. They kept eating right through the wood putty. Some ate it from the outside, some escaped from the inside. I finally WON! I mixed a little carpenter bee killer (insect killer) into the wood putty before I puttied up the holes. They still chew it, but then they die!!! Bye Bye Bee Bee. Joi

A suggestion on Carpenter Bees...the other day someone on Facebook said take a paper bag, stuff it w/plastic grocery bag, tie it up & hang it upon your porch. Bees mistake it for hornets nest & stay away.
@valerie0228483 жыл бұрын
Paint the eaves of the house and ceiling of the porch with light blue paint. Bees, wasps, etc. think it's sky and won't try to build there. It's a very old method that the homesteaders and farmers (and others) used to do. Good luck!

Maybe i'm the odd one here, but I like when you go back to basecamp. It's part of your life, and I've watched your channel for years to watch your life so that's just part of it. Personally, I think you should just get rid of your couch and turn your entire front room into an arcade. Could always have a "sit down" room in the back where your mickey mouse room USED to be. Just turn base camp into a big arcade/storage unit. Already off to a good start! You should get a Mappy arcade cabinet. That was one of my favorite arcade games as a kid in the 80's. Would be an absolute blast to watch you playing it if you had it at basecamp.

this happened the other day on Northbound I-295. Traffic was stopped completely because a semi and a car had some fun. So, nobody was moving. Now SOUTHBOUND, where all 9 fire trucks, 5 ambulances, and the medivac helicopter wsa parked, well, they were backed up for about 6 miles. At least our side got moving slowly when the other fire truck moved out of the northbound lanes.

Branches coming off the tree look like they have lichens growing.. Roots of the tree are out as far as the canopy.. driving/parking stresses the, but so does the increased UV, due to our earth shield doesnt filter as well during a minimum solar phase.. it's a cycle that passes a few more years from now I like the blow up hot tub.. is make a tv mount but not permanent..removable for when not home.

Those wood bores ( carpenter Bees ) are really hard to get rid of. Our neighbor's garage was infested with them and we have had to fight them every summer since. Not as many as there used to be though. Still have to keep up spraying the refilling holes. I like to catch them in butterfly nets then stomp on them for stress relief. Ha.

bees. I say "stuff holes with steel wood and wood vinyl putty. Stain that with somehting heavy and oil based, then put out traps. otherwise, for bad bio ideas "Woodpeckers eat carpenter bees, as do various species of birds, such as shrikes and bee-eaters as well as some mammals such as ratels. Other predators include large mantises and predatory flies, particularly large robber-flies of the family Asilidae."
