I looked up the Geneva Convention and it says that IF; during a war, the military uses any building to house troops, munitions, and war machines that building is considered a military target and is exempt from rules of the Geneva Convention which was designed to protect innocent civilians and other non-combatants. The enemy of Israel has blatantly used civilian homes, hospitals, and a network of tunnels UNDER the cities?! The only thing the IDF has not done with civilians to protect them is to take them by the hand and lead them away from harm. i remember reading of case where Israeli tank had fired at press crew and that got me thinking, how did the press communicate their status to the tank crew? running out of a van equipped with helmet, bulletproof vest and shoulder mounted camera can easily be misunderstood as a militant aiming a rocket launcher at you when looking through thermal cameras, forcing the tank crew to make a split second decision of firing or not. I think that to avoid this kind of situations press should also have the press text shown on Infrared spectrum so their status can be communicated to those using thermal sights to watch for enemies, since normal cameras are inefficient in that role due to use of camouflage

I don't like when people say the God's chosen people term or whatever. But I like to look at the facts and the law. When it comes to facts, Jews have been living in this territory for more than 2800 years. The only time Jews weren't the majority in Jerusalem was between 1948 and 1967 when there were no Jews allowed there. Now for the international law, and that's the part people don't understand since they can't take the time to read real law books, the State of Israel is legal. When there are no agreement, the default rule is uti possidetis juris, which states that a newly emerging state retains the border of the preceding area before their independence. Since the Arab community refused to sign the 1947 partition resolution (which by the way, was a recommendation on the un's part, the un doesn't create states...), uti possidetis juris is the rule that applies. Also, keep in mind that this rule is what created for instance Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, and Ukraine. You cannot have a rule and an exception when it comes to international law.
