That last comment apparently the bonus plate is from the 224 as well and you can get never ending trails. Also, the decay is the mid decay time The bass and treble are for bass and treble decay times. So you can get the excellent sound of the plate to go for a very long time if that’s what you’re after.

I own all 3 of the current UA pedals.. there is nothing I own already that makes my guitar sound as complete or authentic?! I have owned or tried most options to date that are available to a run of the mill guitarist like myself. I do not regret buying these pedals even if they never do another thing on top of the release specs.. although extras would be a treat one day... interested to see what can be done with Bluetooth once the app is finally released. Into the front of my amp and expanding a modellers capability, they are great.
@stevefearon93373 жыл бұрын
Nick Michels I really like them as I find the effects warm and lush, my experience with strymon is very limited.. what I can say is I think the reverbs delays have more depth and authenticity than similar effects on eventide H9 which are also incredibly good. There is no midi and only 2 presets if you are the kind of person who likes a new effect every 4 bars then these may not be the choice for you, I like to find a time snd get my colour from fingers and guitar controls. I think these pedals work well for old school players looking for old school tones but without the cost and complication of owning the devices they model. I am very happy with my purchase but I have seen and read some people who need the bells and whistles,
@danjack-son48713 жыл бұрын
I own all three myself and luv em! I could care less about more options or MIDI and I would use them live. Curious if you use them on acoutic guitar aswell? I have an old Fishman Reverb afx which i still enjoy but dont find excelent. I like that it does different rooms/halls which are voiced different. But i need to dail de mix quite low for them to sound somewhat realistic. On higher blends i get that harsh/glassy top end of the reverb-reflections which i find narly. But listen to the Golden Rerverberator: its so so smooth, so detailed,..makes it sound like an studio recording to me. Like to hear your possible thought, if any on acoutic guitars and this pedal.

Sounds amazing!! But, no MIDI presets. Working guitarists that play live shows really benefit from MIDI switchable effects, especially in the modulation, delay and reverb sections of the pedalboard. For $399 and the real estate it takes up on the board, is it worth it to bend down between songs during a live show at a festival (etc.) to turn knobs and flick switches??? .......... Watch at 12:38..... That!!.... It does sound top notch though!! (In front of a festival crowd: "Hey man, are you ready to start the next song?"... "Just give me a second while I bend down and dial in this really cool reverb tone!! Sounds so awesome!".... Crowd waiting for next song to start.....) The reality of that pedal during a live show.. Unless you're playing Americana or Straight-ahead Jazz, you might be wanting to change things up a bit sonically during parts of a show more than once. Update: I wound up getting the Source Audio Ventris. Sounds arguably as good, and it has MIDI capability. It’s on my pedalboard!

Well, this video is two years old, but think about it for a minute, EytschPi: the reasons there are not more than two settings at any given time are 1) more processing dedicated to the quality of the sounds, rather than using that board space for memory, and 2) to keep the pedal reasonably affordable and reasonably sized. Do you want more memory and less quality, or do you want a more expensive pedal that would also take up more real estate? Everything is a trade-off.

The main problem with reverb PEDALS in the studio is you are STUCK with that sound on the track, where reverb is largely ambience, and needs adjusting depending on the other tracks. Hmmmm... not so practical in a pedal, and not obvious when you are playing solo guitar in a demo video. $400 to be stuck with a sound? Hmmmm gotta think about that one.

EytschPi42 I think I see what you mean. regardless of intentions, my point stands.
@MrDaveblair3 жыл бұрын
Yea when he made the point that their heads are in the studio I thought the same thing. If it's for the studio than it should just be another plug in. The only reason to make it a pedal would be so you can take it Out of the studio to play live. And if it has so many great algorhythms and options you can use but only 1 preset isn't that a catch 22? While you have almost All high end pedals in this price point have multiple presets and banks it seems just having one is kind of a joke. Why? If I'm just going to set and forget a single reveb sound I can just use the one in the amp. Lol. It's like they thought out everything in such detail and them totally dropped the ball on something soo easy and simple and standard for even cheaper pedals. And even if you are only thinking studio, every studio person has many saved presets on the plug jns they use, like here is a saved setting I like to start with for snare verb, for example. These pedals are awesome but this one thing is probably a show stopper for many players. UA please rethink this with real live guitar players, playing in the real world. I have no problem dropping big money on great pedals and I understand no pedal does every possible thing and you have to find what suits your needs, but I would think if anybody took these pedal out on One real gig when they were user testing they would have been frustrated by lack of presets. Hey for the rockabilly sound I want that kind of reverb but for the Floyd tune need something more ambient, for this other tune I need, oh shit... and to be honest this is way more significant with the Astra and Starlight. Why have all those great modulation FX but I have to chose the 2 I want to use at the gig. So on a gig if I want to use flange, phaser, trem in the same set I'm stuck. Or I'm bending down in the dark twidling knobs while the band and audience stare at me. IMHO
