Hi Les!! Sorry for my lack of comments as of late.... The depression has been visiting... As always, love seeing you.... watching your cheerful banter and that gorgeous and sweet as sugar pup makes things better!! Your Advent sweater is fabulous!!!! I think it's the best yet!!! I am going to have to learn to knit!! I have crocheted for over 60 years and as I turn 75 in a few days, I think that will be my next venture!!! I agree with you on the snow..... Here in the central valley of California, we rarely see snow. While it is beautiful, I hate to be out in it..... The old bones can't take that much cold!! Take care, the vision of you and your dad at the grocery brought a bit of a smile.....I'm sure you got the hang of it very quickly!! Take care and please give some cuddles to Ms Heidi for me!! Hugs!!!

I love your finished advent jumper! I am trying my hand at spinning with a drop spindle and I am enjoying the process. It will be interesting to see what the yarn can be used for but I'm glad to be joining in on the spinning fun. I need to make or get a knitty noddy and learn how to thwack the finished product. 😁

Hi Jan. The niddy noddy is certainly useful, but for years I was just winding my yarn around a large book to make skeins, or around the feet of an upturned footstool. I've even tried winding it around my swift, but not with a great deal of success. I am glad you are enjoying the process. I hope you find something to make with the yarn, even if it's a small piece, such as a mug cosy and matching coaster, or similar. Take good care and thanks so much xx

Your sweater is gorgeous. I only need one more sleeve on my daft cardigan and the button band so my advent project is almost done! Stay warm it’s been cold here lately it’s supposed to be 2 degrees tomorrow so -17 in Celsius yay? Stay warm

Poor you Lesley, 1 and a half hours in the dentist's chair. I have had quite a few root canal works and they are not pleasant 😕. Hope the second visit goes better than the first xxx

I usually leave my spun skein on the knitty knotty at least over night. It seems to help set the twist. Beautiful shawlette! Marie Pickard

Lesley, thanks for an enjoyable episode. Your Recalibrate sweater is magnificent. Glad you learned of your overnight guests before they appeared on your doorstep. We live 30 minutes from San Francisco and people sometimes ask if they could stay over. We have learned to tactfully say no.

Leslie, I love your recalibrate. It looks really good. What yarn did you use for the shawlette you made for your friend? It came out very nice. I love one skein projects. Take care.

Hi Marilyn. Thanks so much. The shawlette was made using some Stranded Dyeworks MCN in the "sugarplum" colourway. It's a lovely yarn to use, but I don't think that Jude stocks MCN anymore. It has been in my stash for quite a while, waiting for the right project. Thanks and take care xx

I have the yarn for all the jumpers, decisions decisions lol. I've been going through all my yarn and assigning it trying to be organised when I start my podcast again. I also have yarn for two cardigans. I will probably plump for the boxy as I have some lovely hand dyed merino but like you I don't quite have enough in menthe ( a green colour) but I have other merino that I could put with it. I also want to start the scrappy bee lol.
