The which “funnel” looking bits on the forearms are meant to electromagnetically manipulate its javelin. It never particularly hold the thing, it floats near him, and in combat moves at high speeds around him. Kinda like Yandu from Guardians Of The Galaxy and his arrow.

Oh I have this one in my backlog. I've already done the Jehuty and the Vic Viper. Since you never played the games I strongly recommend you to do so. There is also an HD compilation of the 2 episodes on PS3. Hideo Kojima made those games between episodes of Metal Gear since as said in an interview he wanted to make those games as an homage to the Gundam series. And the mecha designs of Yoji Shinkawa are just insane.

For the lining of both Jehuty and Anubis, I’m using Vallejo Red. And wiping it away with q tips. Takes forever. But looks good and stays bright.

Oh if I had another red I would use it. The application was super easy. But it's not the red that I know it to be. But against the contrast it's not bad. And I didnt want to go full reverse wash technique to make it it happen.
