Hi Nigel, great part 2. I can remember you said why the working suspension was useful, particularly in dioramas, where the terrain may be uneven. 😅

Hi Nigel ! Awesome job ! The photo etched part on the left side is the night time convey light and the 2 hook looking things are for recovery that hook to the d rings front and back of each vehicle . 👍🏻🍻🐶

I don't understand why people feel the need to ask stupid questions 😆 who cares why we build models the way we do? Some of us like to go that extra mile as in your case the working suspension, so what lol it's model building we can all do as we please or what makes us happy. Nice build Nigel 👍

Hey there Nigel! Brilliant work on the kit so far. These workable tracks really look the part once done but can be super tedious. Folks complain about decades ago when all we had were the rubber band tracks, but maybe ignorance was bliss then, lol.

Thanks Pat. I hate rubber tracks.

Hey Nigel, the clear part on the rear is the convoy light. Pretty much a dark green glass tube, with a lamp inside.

Hi Nigel. The holes you filled on the base of the rear plate are for the brackets for the vehicle jack. Some of the photographs i have show it at the bottom of rear plate and some don’t. I think i saw the brackets one of the sprues you were using but I’m not sure if the Jack is in the kit. It may be that on later vehicles they left off the jack. The other two holes would be for the Jack block which was a large block of wood to put the Jack on.Thanks for the build.

I believe that roller is a convoy light, it helps the driver of the tank behind keep his distance when moving. At the correct distance he would see four faint blue-green lights on it, if too close a red light in the middle of the device would become obvious. This is a well detailed model, I have ordered one. Would have loved to build it alongside yours but I’ve just started a Sherman “Aunt Jemima” mine-roller model. 😊

Gives me a brilliant excuse to buy a Rochm PE set-can only build so many panthers.Working tracks/suspension are a reward for more technical builders.Building what can’t be seen or doesn’t work is choice.Bet Dottie enjoys the break from those sharp little teeth coming from all angles,at any time from siblings.And an uninterrupted Kip must be strange.

Nice detail on figuring out the pins. 👍👍But if you show something that small on camera, it helps when you hold it in one position for a few seconds and don't move them around. 😉

Hi Nige, I was wondering where you got your ickysticky sanding twigs? I've tried finding them in the UK but seem to have struck out. Maybe Rob from Brooks could be persuaded to stock them? Kit looks lovely, looking forward to seeing the end result.
@NigelsModellingBench6 күн бұрын
They were sent to me by Annie as a gift. I believe Mos at Outlaw paints will be stocking them?

@@NigelsModellingBench Ah fair enough. Thanks for the tip about Mos, I'll keep an eye out for them.
