Im gonna buy this when it comes back in stock I liked the revlon but it fried!!! my hair

THIS! This is a big part of why I decided to take the plunge with the Dyson. I loved the revlon but every 6 months I would notice the bristles were looking melted and I can’t imagine what that kind of heat was doing to my fine hair!!! Thanks for watching Jen! 🥰

Ohh girl thank you for this video and the game changing tips. Been using the air wrap for like six months now and my results were good but now, they’re amazing. Anyone with fine curly hair and having trouble achieving those infamous Dyson air wrap results, give these techniques and tips a shot, she’s right on the money. 👌🏻 Especially about the need to be at least 80% dry even with curly hair, do not take the round brush in too soon. Also with the beach waves, holding the wand upside down and using the “opposite” barrel is genius but the trick to that type of curl is holding the ends while it’s wrapped and drying and using smaller locks of hair, huge difference in results! Awesome video, most comprehensive and useful video of the like I’ve watched in a long time! 🤜🏻🤛🏻

I agree with most of what you said here. BUT, in re to if you are someone who doesn't like to heat style your hair, you should pass, I personally disagree. I HATE blowdrying my hair, trying to wrestle with the round brush, and I suck at curling my hair. My hair is fine and slightly wavy. This tool has completely changed my approach. I wake up excited to use the tool. It is fun and easy, and the results are amazing! I would never have spent this much money on anything, let alone a beauty item. But I seriously can't part with it (was thinking I would likely return, but NO!!).

Hi Jennifer! That’s so awesome to hear!!! I definitely am gonna pin this comment so that others who maybe hate blow drying and curling with a curling iron will see your testimony on it! I’m so glad to hear you’re loving the airwrap! 😁 thank you for sharing!! 🥰

@@AshleyAye I second that comment. I have very fine baby hair and even though it's pretty long, there's not a lot of it. Usually I just air dry it and most days it takes me 20 minutes at work before I just put it up in a bun. I bought the air wrap at 20% off and just hoped it would work. I had watched at least 100 you tube-video's, but most of them featured women with thicker hair than mine. I knew there would be a learning curve and well, I've gone from just getting my hair blown every 8 weeks when getting a haircut to fixing my hair every day! The curls didn't hold very well, but just the round brush attachment and the smoothing brush made my heart sing. I can get ready in no time and it looks great - without excessive heat. I used to get so warm just by blowing my hair and then using a straightener or a curling wand - making my straight hair curl at the neck and my curls going frizzy. All of that is gone with the air wrap. So, even though my curls didn't hold that good (it was fine with the smaller barrel for a couple of hours, but not super good), I was still happy with my purchase for the outcome of the 2 brush attachments. But - then came the game changer for me - the longer, smaller barrel. It's called 20 mm here, I think that's about 0.8". For all you ladies out there with thin, fine hair - get that one. It's perfect! My curl now holds and it looks so good. Dyson Air Wrap is the best money I spent this year. Sorry for the long comment - but Ashley I just have to tell you that watching all of those videos before buying, I can say your video is the best out there for people with fine hair. You are adorable and even though I am not that interested in make-up, I watch your videos just to see your smiling face. Take care and stay safe!

Jennifer Golden, thanks for your comment! I like that you emphasized LESS HEAT. That’s the reason I got the air wrap. A curling rod or flatiron - every time I used it I cringed cause it does so much irreparable damage. Might not notice right away-but it’s happening. Agree-it takes time to figure out techniques for your look and preferred texture-but it’s worth it. And your hair will thank you. Great video 👍

@@AshleyAye equally: pre-styler, smoothing without knobs, and brush for volume on crown. I have fine, wavy, coloured shoulder length hair. (The one thing I still continue to do is flat iron because it is still just a little too frizzy near the bottom). Haven’t figured that out yet.

Ashley you did it!!! You are 1K strong!!! Now as for Dyson,, the volume in hair is noticeably fuller. I would swear you had extensions in!!! I have super fine hair too and I know what you mean about using a curling iron and having the curls not look really beachy or voluminous. You did a great job of explaining the how to’s and all the tips and tricks you learned along the way.. I’ve never tried the Revlon one step, it always looked so gigantic for my fine hair, plus it’s only chin length, oh I’m so confused. I would die for that volume you have. I could the best makeup day ever, but if the hair doesn’t look, I don’t feel good,ya know?? Let’s just say I hate my hair everyday!🙁

My hair is so similar to yours and I've watched your video through about 4 times now lol It's the only one on KZbin that doesn't showcase someone who already has thick, straight/wavy, and smooth hair! Two of the problems I'm still having though is sooooo many flyaways coming up when the volumizing brush is under the hair even when I put it on a lower airflow and has been pre-dried 80% and then not being able to get the roots to be smoothed and flat. When I use the volumizing brush or firm smoothing brush I still have a distinctive wavy line. Any tips?!

I just bought mine on Friday and have been a little disappointed. Still trying to get over the learning curve, but the thing I’ve noticed the most is that the waves fall once I set it with hairspray. Not sure if it’s the airiness of hair or my texture and length that is making it fall. I really, really want to love it because it’s soooo expensive. I’m a little hopeful now. Gonna keep trying. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll have to return. 😭
@AshleyAye3 жыл бұрын
Oh no! Definitely try starting your waves and curls at the root like I do in the wave section - keeping the starting point up higher keeps the ends from weighing down the wave or curl. I really hope it works out! 🥰

This is kind of strange, but I actually put off watching this video because I’m not really a hair person. I think your hair is gorgeous, but I also realize that you put in the time. (I’m one of the ones that requested to see your natural hair a while back, and we do have some similar natural curl, so thank you for showing that!) I was afraid that I was going to want this, but the price makes me cringe. Your video made me feel so much better about NOT getting this. I rarely do any drying and if I do, it’s because I’m going to straighten my hair. My EDS makes it hard to commit to that much time on my hair since I always have dislocated ribs, shoulders and hands...I’ve even managed to dislocate my elbow, lol. Your who should, who shouldn’t segment was so, so, so helpful! Buying this will not change my abilities or my habits-you are 1000 percent right. Now if it could magically give me your stunning blow out whenever I snapped my fingers, then it would be worth double. I love 💕 all of your videos and I should have known this wouldn’t be an exception. Lesson learned and I promise not to try and skip out again. You’ve never steered me wrong (or made me feel pressured to buy a product) . Your channel is very calming, peaceful and pleasant even if I don’t want the same products you’re demonstrating. Thank you so much for creating a happy place and just being you. You are appreciated!!!

@AshleyAye3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Diana! 🥰 My curls stay quite a long time a full day and sometimes two depending on how I sleep - as long as they do when using a curling iron. I do have naturally curly hair so my hair holds a curl very well. I would definitely suggest using a light mousse while hair is damp to help with hold and also starting all curls and waves at the root - keeping the bulk of the curl at the root will help prevent your ends from weighing down the curl. Hope that helps! 🥰

I know I'm late to this video, but just wondering if anyone can answer this question.... my main complaint with the regular hairdryer or the Revlon One Step brush thing, is the HEAT!!! Not just the damage to my hair from the heat, but also my whole body getting overheated and sweaty .. I'll get all nice and clean in the shower to get ready to go, then by the time I've gotten my wet hair dry and styled, I'm so hot and miserable... is this really that much cooler that your hair and head don't get so hot and uncomfortable?
