Vanguard seems noticeably faster than my FD1’s. Really like mine in that “beat-up Firebird/FD3” slot. Sounds like you have a few beat-up FD3’s though.

Were about to comment the actual speed but forgot about them FD3's! It's just like the DD3 vs Cloudbreaker, a bit different and someone prefers it over all the other molds for either forehand or backhand. Just look at Triology expanding to House of Discs, went from 8x (Ahti, Culverin, Convict, Sockibomb Felon, Felon, Pioneer, Honor, Longbowman) 9-speed overstable to... 12!? with the =K= Stål , DM FD3 & Vanguard, Splice xD

If you’re considering the vangaurd in that overstable slot then there is much more than 9. Ginger, convict, culverin, splice, etc.
