I can tell y'all it was the complete opposite for me when it came to the energy of my dogs. I used to have a Boxer-Cane Corse mix, and when I walked him (keep in mind I was like 10 lol) he never tried to pull and didn't budge an inch until I started walking. I prefer medium dogs, all the medium dogs I've had were little cuddle bugs and were the perfect size to fit on my lap or on my side. Plus, a little easier to handle than a big dog, larger dogs tend to be way much stronger than the dogs I grew up with, so I'd rather have a dog I know I can handle and take proper care of.
