I have a service dog in training as Im still training him on obedience and guide walking. But he learned how to help me all on his own. I had ptsd and he is able to alert me of panic attacks from parasomnia and hypersomnia. He's just smart i guess hahaaha but he still needs more public access training. Thanks for this video!

I’ve never heard him called Blucifer before…🤣 We always called him the demon horse.

I live right next to Massachusetts (1 and a half hour drive) and I think I have actually been somewhere just like the places you shown in the video (maybe even the same place lol)

I am also a Coloradan. I also have FND, and I too have a service dog. Must be something in the water here...

May i ask why thor has blue on him?
@Chronically.Ohanaa9 ай бұрын
At the time dogs were being stolen left and right and considering we were leaving our state I wanted to make sure he had something I could identify him with. So a blue tail did good!

Thanks for the videos! I'm training right now with my dog, and i was wondering if they could have their ears hurt, because my ears hurt A LOT on planes, wondering if theirs too...

My dog was fine, he was yawning occasionally but that’s pretty normal :)(

Did you train your dog youself? If so do you have any tips cause im gonna train my dog to be my service dog (I have autism, anxiety, have $h ing behaviours, and dizzy spells)

Do you face problems due to breed discrimination? I also have a fainting condition that I'm getting a service dog for and I'm still deciding on breed. I've been considering a staffordshire terrier but I'm worried that have a 'bully breed' service dog would cause a lot of unwanted attention or problems.
@Chronically.Ohanaa6 ай бұрын
Yes I did, I also wouldn’t recommend them as a service breed. Yes they are great family dogs and such but to be honest I faced way too many issues with his breed and he also doesn’t have a huge drive. If your looking for a scary breed I would go for a Dobie or if your looking for a breed similar to a staffy check out a boxer!
@Chronically.Ohanaa6 ай бұрын
But that being said you also may face issues with a boxer. A great first time service dog breed would ideally be a lab, golden, poodle or a cavi!

I know this is late but what kind of paperwork do you need to show at the airport if traveling with service dog ? This paperwork is only when traveling inside United States right ? Or also applies if traveling internationally? Thank you
@Person.622 ай бұрын
You need to show vaccination paperwork and fill out a DOT form to travel with a service animal. Training records can also be helpful!

Thor is an American staffordshire terrier!

Love the video but OMG be careful on escalator or moving walkways they can be extremely dangerous even for the most trained dogs.

We are fully aware of that thank you, he’s been trained to jump off and on and his nails were trimmed. Plus booties help a lot :)

@Chronically.Ohanaa8 ай бұрын
Nope, just a slip collar:)

Can i ask why he was not allerting u before u fainted
@Chronically.Ohanaa8 ай бұрын
He did, I just couldn’t show it. I don’t show him alerting at all times as it’s hard to capture.

I know I’m not her but it depends on what tasks may benefit you and if the pup has the courage and likes to work! We sometimes temperament test the dogs to see if they are a dog idea to be a service dog
