Ladies, I’m not trying to brag, but let me paint a picture of what a good man looks like: My wife is in the hospital pregnant when our daughter for 28 days. The hospital was an hour away from where we lived. I was caregiving for my grandmother as well. And I worked at least nine hours a day. I was at the hospital EVERYDAY… I worked 6 days a week. I saw my grandmother whom I was caregiving for MOSTLY EVERYDAY even though I had a caregiver living in with her. I didn’t eat much and I didn’t get much sleep, but I made sure everyone was OK. My wife, my grandmother, and my job. Owe, me nothing

And only by the grace of Almighty God were you able to do all those things. Many men today simply don’t have the physical, or emotional capacity to handle all those responsibilities simultaneously, I’m just saying. They should, but the sad reality is…..they simply don’t. Many women have to step up to the plate and handle business that men can’t or won’t. Truth be told!😊

Men don’t make men the way you talking. Women make those types of men. God and my grandfather made me the way I am. My pattern was after a man.. a responsible/accountable man. My grandmother had a son out of wedlock and would not allow my grandfather to raise him as he raised me. My uncle was in and out of jail, a drunk, and was spreading his seed hither and yonder. I know a lot of men like this, and all of them came from a single mother home… I’m not saying women are fully to blame, but you need to know more of who and what you’re getting yourself into.

I do have to agree that the guy in this is not the best, but to "define" what a good man is, is a very heavy thing to do. Because not everyone has the mental, emotional or physical ability to do all that stuff, but that also doesn't mean that what they DO do isn't "good enough." Especially with todays economy, more and more people are falling behind on bills, and if the women gets pregnant, the man has to step up to make more money. And if it took EVERY cent of each of the individuals paychecks JUST to get by paycheck to paycheck, they HAVE to work. They HAVE to make more money, and that costs time. Not everyone has the "skills" to get a high paying job that is comfortable and reliable for all the bills of the house and thus the man has to get a second or even a third job just to make sure his family is taken care of, but just because he is working every hour of every day and can't be their for his wife at the hospital, doesn't mean that the man isn't a good guy. Thats just going over the physical aspect of it, but there are men out there who aren't as mentally and emotionally strong as men USED to be due to how society has changed, and there is a LOT that goes into that, that i honestly dont even want to get into because it's so much to type. You definitely stepped up and i give you props for being able to do that, what you did was absolutely great! But please don't try to push the notion that EVERY man has to be willing to do everything that you just stated just to even be CONSIDERED a "good man" because it hurts the men who are trying the absolute best they can by giving the women in their life leverage to hold against them of "if he wanted to he would" which is part of the mental and emotional issues going on in society already.

EVERYTHING you do, should be for your family. EVERYTHING…. I had to make it happen when it wasn’t possible to make it happen. You do what you have to do (Legally and responsibly). I’m not saying people don’t need grace, but don’t take for granted the grace given. Be a responsible, accountable man & make it do what it do.
